Anxiety attack?

Yesterday was going pretty normal for me at work. Right after lunch, however, I started to feel a little headache coming on and the sides of my vision got blurry. This has happened before but it's been more common since being pregnant. It gets so blurry I can't see the computer screen though so I sit back and rest my head on my desk. I was drinking some new coffee and I was wondering if maybe it was too strong so I was trying to chug my water. Also was not hungry since I just ate my lunch. The vision took a little but did get restored. But then I started feeling hot and getting sweety and then cold when I put my air on. A client called (who I'm used to talking to) but had difficulty remembering her name. I didn't say much to get off the phone. Started feeling jittery and like out of body feeling. Called my husband because I was scared! It was towards the end of the day and he agreeded I should just leave. Came home in silence with a migrane. Got home and my husband asked what's going on and I just started crying like couldn't stop. As I was crying I was saying that I felt stressed (but we've had a ton going on for a few months now so nothing out of the ordinary). I just laid around and went to bed early last night. I'm 21 weeks...have been super emotional this week....kinda feel like my hormones have shot through the roof. The baby was moving a ton through all this. Was this a pregnancy axiety/panic attack?

Re: Anxiety attack?

  • I would call your doctor because blurred vision and headaches are symptoms of preeclampsia! It’s better to be safe than sorry and make sure you’re tracking those symptoms and getting input from your OB

  • You know....never thought to call my ob. Saw your reply and immediately called. They said to let them know if it happens again but at 21 weeks and my age they aren't too concerned about preeeclampsia. She said more than likely ocular migraine. But soo glad I called...I feel so much better!
  • Also check your blood pressure,

  • I was just thinking that sounds very similar to how my migraines start. I've noticed that pregnancy and breastfeeding change the severity and frequency of my migraines probably due to hormonal changes.
