Dropping HCG levels

I need to advise, I had been bleeding at 6 weeks due to a subchorionic hematoma, on my scan it showed baby’s heart beat low at 80bmp so I was sent to get bloods taken which showed dropping hcg levels. My GP basically just said I’ll have a miscarriage within 2 weeks or so and nothing else. No advise of what to do or how to prepare etc. I’m still bleeding due to the SCH however no signs of miscarriage eg cramps.. what happens? Do I just wait for it to happen naturally? What if it doesn’t? Do I need to wait for the heartbeat to stop (if it’s still currently beating) and then I’ll miscarry after?

Any help would appreciate feeling super confused this will be my first miscarriage and I can’t find much online x

Re: Dropping HCG levels

  • These are questions you need to ask your doctor as it currently varies wildly based on where you are located since Roe vs Wade was overturned. Dropping hcg is not a good sign though.
