Where did you find that picture of me?? Lolll. But yeah, that’s p much it. We went to an outdoor concert yesterday and I was putting on a happy face while trying not to puke and crap my pants while secretly panicking about the lack of nearby bathrooms. Part of me is enjoying keeping this pregnancy a secret from friends and family for as long as possible, but hiding first tri symptoms is hard!

@etnyah I feel you on the bathroom bit! I volunteered at habitat for humanity this weekend with work members who don’t know and I was terrified that I would puke or suddenly have a bathroom issue and need to leave. Does anyone else already feel the pressure in their lower stomach? I really feel it but I feel like it’s too early and worry that I’m making more symptoms up.

My nausea is definitely a permanent fixture now, but I'm managing it with B6 and frequent small meals and ginger ale. Also trying some essential oils in a diffuser. TBD if it helps or worsens.

My sleeping is NOT great. Lots of waking up at 2:30am and not being able to fall back asleep. So I'm just taking 1/2 a unisom now cause I NEED SLEEP!

Oh and my nips are huuuuge. Like, I have large areolas / nipples to start with, but this is out of control. Lol.

I am about 6 weeks now and the nausea is kicking in big time. We had a family reunion on Saturday which was tough because I felt like puking for most of it lol. And honestly every time I eat I feel like I might. It sucks because I know I probably should eat and I get hungry but as soon as I do I feel nauseous and sweaty. And still definitely exhausted. I work from home so I can be with my 2 year old daughter and I keep falling asleep during her naps because it's so quiet lol. So I basically wake up trying to figure out where I left off on my work haha

Omg the 💩 situation was actually my first clue that I was pregnant.

My nipples have been SO sensitive the last couple of days. Breastfeeding my son has been unbearable. I'm only nursing first thing in the AM and before bed....before getting pregnant I was planning on being done end of Sept/early Oct bc my husband and I are going on a child-less trip. Now I'm just trying to last until we fly home on Sunday

Hi ladies! I am 6 1/2 weeks and been feeling really good. But I am so constipated! For years i have been drinking Metamucil at night and still do, also been taking some dulcolax the last few days. Any other helpful tips?? I need to 💩💩!!! 🤣

I am just over 5 weeks (due date 4/18/23) and the fatigue is something I’ve never experienced before. My boobs are also quite sore - especially my nipples.

Reallllly hoping that the nausea holds off for another 2-3 weeks because this pregnancy was a bit of a surprise…as I’m getting married in 10 days! Would love to not be throwing up on my wedding day! Haha! But just happy to know that we were able to conceive.

I am 7 weeks 4 days and have had nausea since end of weeks 5, but yesterday started throwing up 🤢. I get so tired after I eat regardless if it’s a snack or a small meal, and I could fall asleep at 8pm everyday. My boobs are so heavy and they’re heavy to begin with and my nipples are super tender. I’m excited because I have my first appointment next week!

Add me to the nausea camp. I didn’t have much nausea with my son so I was surprised by this. I haven’t thrown up but have had 3 close calls this week.

Fatigue is pretty relevant right now for me and I'm only 5w1d. My first u/s is scheduled September 2nd. My breast feel a bit heavier/fuller and I've had a few nights of insomnia but nothing like last nights that was accompanied with night sweats!!

Definitely more bathroom interruptions in the middle of the night to pee. This will be baby no. 2! My first born is now 4y5m and he is wanting a brother so badly.

Anyone else get night sweats??

@msmarypiie night sweats here for sure! Although I don’t know if it’s pregnancy related or just because it’s so dang hot.

Not exactly night sweats but have definitely been much warmer at night and sleeping on top of the covers.
Also I feel like I have bad BO all of a sudden! I don't recall being sweaty and stinky this early on last time

@acleverusername my blisslets arrived and oh man, they actually work?? Thank you so much for the recommendation, I feel vaguely human again! I can still feel some queasiness but it’s not nearly as bad as it was. Not taking these off for weeks.

I know it's too early to feel baby movements already, but I keep feeling fluttering (like how it felt when I first started feeling my son move at like 20ish weeks). Probably just gas or something though 😂

@nsk489 ohhhh man, I’ve been feeling phantom kicks since my son was born, 3.5 years ago. Lol. Can’t wait to feel it again for real!

@nsk489 I’ve had some fluttering feelings too but almost always immediately followed by a fart. I can’t wait to be further along. This part of pregnancy is not my favorite. Especially with the increased nausea this time around.

What triggers your nausea?
For me, with this one and my previous pregnancies, the biggest culprit is changes in temperature. If I walk from a hot room to a cold one, or a breeze catches me unaware, my stomach threatens to evacuate it's contents. Air conditioning and going outside in the winter are torture! I'm thankful to be pregnant at this point in the summer, as I will only have to hid the nausea waves for a month once school starts up again. My building is terribly heated/insulated, so every classroom has its own climate, lol.

Constipation arrived with a vengeance today, so I actually had to disimpact myself. A trick I learned on... my wedding day. I promptly started a stool softener.

Might have spoken too soon re: blisslets. I’ve puked twice since putting them on less than 24 hours ago. Glad I got some that were half off so I don’t feel like I wasted too much money, but I’m going back to unisom + B6.

Forgot how exhausting 1st trimester is. I took advantage of all the naps my first pregnancy but haven't done so yet this time. I feel like I can barely keep up with my toddler. Can't nap unless he's napping, and when he does nap I feel like I should be doing things instead

@etnyah are you taking unison during the day? I’ve only been taking it at night and just using B6 during the day.

@acleverusername I take them both once at night right before bed, only half a unisom. Seems to do the trick! I haven’t been nearly as nauseous on days after I take them as on days after I don’t.

@nsk489 yepppp I’m there too. My son never sits still and he no longer naps. I was able to take a four (!!!) hour nap just now since H is here, but weekdays are rough.

@etnyah for B6, you should try taking it several times a day. That's what ACOG recommends as well. It might help you during the day. I ended up taking 1/2 a Unisom (actually, I take a generic brand from Costco since it's way cheaper but same active ingredient) because I was really nauseous this afternoon, and REALLY needed to nap. It worked!

@acleverusername I might ramp it up if it gets worse, I’m just experimenting with how little I can get away with. So far once a day seems to be enough, so I’ll stick to that for now!

Vomited for the first time today. Fresh berries only look good on top of yogurt; not when they are thrown up. 🤮

@acleverusername @etnyah I cut up a bunch of berries and had them on our coffee table and had my husband move them because the smell was really triggering my nausea.

Omg! My first and only time so far vomiting was after drinking cranberry juice. Not exactly berries but close lol.

@knottie97ebf91b5a42b0e7 sore lower back was one of my earlier symptoms but it disappeared after a week or so. It has come back for a day or 2, but not persistent.
