Bleeding at 6 weeks

Hey everyone
I’m currently 6 weeks pregnant and I started bleeding last week (6 days) I went to see my DR and she sent me for an urgent ultrasound, the scan showed a heartbeat of 88bmp which they said was quiet concerning being so low, he did confirm the pregnancy was in the correct spot so we have ruled out ectopic pregnancy, I went to see my dr again and she said the bleeding wasn’t coming from the pregnancy and it could be implantation bleeding. From what I’ve read online this only last for up to 2 days and happens early pregnancy. Im really worried I could be having a miscarriage but I have 0 pains or symptoms other than the bleeding?

Ps - bleeding started as brown then slowly turned more red within the week but has decreased slightly has anyone experienced this with a successful outcome?

    @elj2020 I am sorry you are experiencing this. You might try looking up "SCH" bleeding in early pregnancy and ask your OB (not your primary care provider) about it. The heartbeat does sound low, but I recollect that sometimes the mother's heartbeat is picked up instead because early heartbeats are harder to detect. When in doubt, get a second (or more) opinion <3

    I had this happen twice and it was not a good outcome. I hope that is not the case for you, but definitely they should do a follow up US within the week to see how the HB is doing.

    Thank you for your honesty, unfortunately I won’t have another scan for a week or so.. just very confused with it all as I thought I would be in pain by now if this was a miscarriage?

    I bled from a SCH for three pregnancies and then went on to have a missed miscarriage the first two times where the baby dies but you don’t expel it and required a D&C. Both times there was a low HB that stopped. With my living child he had a much higher HR. So they can be unrelated and your outcome could vary.
