Back again.
I got a BFP last weekend on Saturday after my BFN a week earlier. I was excited, but also very cautious and anxious because of my previous MMC back in January. At 5w yesterday I started spotting. My dr. wanted me to go to the ER to rule out an ectopic. While I was there they took betas and it was wayyy too low for where I should have been at. So today I am dealing with passing a CP. Struggling with the fact that I've had 2 MCs in a row now, but am hopeful I can start testing to figure out if there is something underlying.
What are good questions to ask my Dr.? What have you all been tested for that I may want to look into?
Sending you big hugs, friend! I feel like I can't comment on what tests your doc should run since – while I'm sure I've been tested for everything you'd need to – these were never requested from an RPL standpoint. I definitely think that karyotyping is really important. Hopefully @anniemarie887 can provide more information.

first, i'm sorry. this sucks, and i know how awful it is first hand (i've had 3 spanning sept '21-march '22 and been benched while sorting it since march). have you talked to your OB yet? CPs are hard b/c some OBs don't "count" them. and that is just, ugh, wrong IMO. from walking this walk, and adoring my OB, this very well could just be really shit luck - and that is more likely than not - but it could be an indicator of other things. my OB is very progressive, and she considers 2 losses something to investigate and trying over 6 mos after age 32 a potential RE referral. that being said, down to brass tax - there is really easy blood work you can have ordered by your OB, it's going to look at your A1C, thyroid, and for blood clotting disorders. mine all came back normal, but my BFF from college was dx with APS (Antiphospholipid syndrome) which caused her 3 losses - she *TW LC* was put on lovenox and went on to have a healthy baby in 2021 *END TW*. MH and i also had our chromosomes karyotyped to make sure we didn't have a missing or translocated one, also all ok. so that left me being ref'ed out to a RE, i had an HSG done - which if i was in your shoes i would ask for one (or SHG - slightly different but they accomplish the same thing from what i understand) - my HSG showed the dye not filling my uterus properly. at this point i'm waiting on a hysteroscopy 8/30 with the goal to remove whatever is in there - most likely scar tissue which is affecting the ability for an embryo to implant and/or a placenta to attach to my uterus correctly. i've had 2 d&c's and that does increase a chance for scar tissue i also *TW LC* have one living child, and when i had my daughter my placenta was quite "stuck" which also could've contributed to scar tissue pending that's what is going on *END TW*.
i hope this was helpful, please don't hesitate to ask me any questions. i'm an open book about what i've been through.
