Hcg levels rising but no yolk sac or fetal pole

I spotted for 3 days starting may 20th, had sex June 5th, and tested positive June 15th. I have history of miscarriage and high risk pregnancy. My beta Hcg levels were tested multiple times: 06/28- 1733, 07/01- 3956, 07/06- 6676.8 so it’s clearly going up. But I had an ultrasound on 07/06 and they said they saw a gestational sac that was 10mm but no yolk sac or fetal pole. I have a repeat ultrasound on 07/19 but I’m low key panicking because of my history and with me not really knowing my last period because I just spotted in may (only showed when I wiped) I know the only time I had sex since may 16th was on June 5th. Has anyone else had this happen? If so how did it go?

    Our dates match up pretty close (LMP May 11, sex on May 28, BFP June 15 after what I thought was a full period starting June 11) and I had something similar happen. (I also have a history of both early and late miscarriage and high risk due to chronic illness.)

    On 6/28 I had an ultrasound, and they saw two gestational sacs with no yolk sacs or fetal poles. Doctor said I probably ovulated late (I know I did) and the ultrasound was too early. Checked again July 13 and saw one baby with a heartbeat, but the other was measuring a day or two behind and didn’t have a heartbeat yet. We’re checking again in another two weeks. Doctor said the one with the heartbeat was measuring at just 6 weeks, which I can’t make sense of given my dates even accounting for late ovulation. But I’ll certainly take it!

    I hope it’s the same for you and you see a heartbeat at the next scan!

    Forgot to add: I also had my hcg taken July 5 and 7 and it rose from 5597–>7338. I’ve been spotting continuously since the beginning of July, but the doctor said it’s okay as long as the hcg is still rising. We haven’t found any reason for the bleeding in the ultrasounds yet.

    My blood was tested again on the 14th and it went to 14947. I have my follow up appointment Tuesday and I’m trying to remain calm but it’s heart wrenching not knowing. I hope everything goes good for you!!
