This may already be on here but I scrolled for awhile and didn't see it.
I finally had a big win and wanted to share it. After so much drama and disappointment I finally found a car at a price that didn't make me feel like I was being taken advantage of completely. It's even blue!!! I got an awesome fully loaded used Subaru Ascent with low mileage for a reasonable price (these days) and I'm thrilled. please ignore the dead patchy grass. It's been a dry summer.
@krysnicole1022 that's fabulous! Finding a car these days is soooo hard.
My win: I've been working with several new freelance clients (scientific/academic writing) over the last month and it's been really rewarding. They're so courteous and thankful, and the pay is great. I've been dreaming about quitting my regular University job and freelancing for a couple of years now, and I'm so glad it's finally coming together! I just need to finish up my website and get business cards. It seems to be one of those things that is a slow burn at first, but once you get a couple of well-connected clients everything just falls into place. I'm leaving my job at the end of the year, but will keep freelancing with them on an as-needed basis.
Had a bride cone back to buy today who said she came back not just for the dress but for the experience she had with me. I'm too hormonal for that validation, y'all! She was such a gem! Also just a fantastic sale with some glam customizations to make it her own. Can't wait for her photos!!!
My July win was also financial - I successfully got a much needed COLA raise after some back and forth negotiations with my employer. It's not huge, but it's something.
