Round Ligament Pain killing me!

Ugh I've had it on and off since around week 11, but oh man it's really ramped up in the last few days (I'm 17+2). Last night it was just constant intermittent twinging stabbing pains on my left side, then right, then just up and down my groin. Like enough that I keep exclaiming, "Ow!" And today all day it's been the same. Ughhhhhhhhhhh. I still prefer this 100% over whatever the fuck the hell first trimester was but ugh. I keep telling myself this is just baby making room for himself, and it's good bc it means he's growing! But gosh does it have to hurt so much??

Same here! I swear it’s like I have a hernia on both sides, I have to hold my sides to move certain ways. I had it with my son but more so with my legs so that was easier to deal with. I remember exercise helping a ton so I just need to get in a good routine. Also, I think magnesium supplements are supposed to help. Haven’t tried that yet either.

  • Same.  I get it when I’m walking sometimes.  The first time it happened I freaked out a little thinking it was severe cramping, but it went away relatively quickly.  Most of the time it’s a short spasm but it lasted a solid 15-20 min the other day which was weird!
  • I am personally freaking out a little, unsure if what I feel is round ligament pain or a red flag! Yesterday I have had a dull pulling/cramping in center of my V / near center of uterus? It was constant, almost all day into evening. At times, the sensation made me nauseous, making me gag. I tried to get an appt at Kaiser but have still been waiting for them to get back to me. Is this round ligament pain??

Then last night as I was laying down, I feel a strange oblong lump on the right of my groin just above pubic hair line (sorry if TMI). This AM it was gone so maybe it was the baby?! I am 15.5 weeks and on edge. Is this healthy baby growing and moving or should I be going to the ER with this nonsense?

    Tysm for any advice!!
  • Hmmm….I’ve definitely felt dull cramping that lasts hours around 15 weeks (super annoying but less painful than really bad period cramps), but they weren’t associated with nausea….although that could be lingering morning sickness?

I think I’ve felt what you’re talking about in the 2nd part.  Could be some temporary swelling or a muscle knot as things move around?

Do you have a nurse hotline you can call instead of going to the ER?
