Sneakpeak gender reveal- help!

Has anyone tried the Sneakpeak early gender at home test? It promises 99.9% accuracy but I have read a lot of reviews of inaccuracies. I got one and tested on Friday. I am 11 weeks. I got my results on Monday and it says girl. While I should be happy, I am not. I have a little girl already and have always dreamed of having a son. I know I should be grateful but I am having a really hard time coming to terms with the results. If you have taken one, we’re your results accurate? Do you think at home tests like this are correct? Should I not rely on this and wait for my anatomy scan?

please don’t roast me with the “gender is not the most important” bla bla bla… I don’t need your negativity!

you know its a 50/50 chance.  Im sorry you want a boy, as did I but as a one and done due to severe medical issues you learn to accept and move on and cherish what you DO HAVE.

I have heard more wrong w/ those tests than right, honestly.

Wait until until 20 week US (though its not what the intention is for) but they will be able to give you a more accurate answer.  IF baby cooperates

I didn't do the Sneak Peek test but I believe they are more accurate the further along you are similar to how HPTs are more accurate the closer you test to your missed period. You're more likely to have a wrong result testing at say 7 weeks compared to 11 weeks because there's only so much fetal DNA in your blood. Even people who have done the NIPT between 10-12 weeks have had to have their blood redrawn because not enough fetal DNA was detected in the blood sample.

You may just have to wait for the anatomy scan to be sure. There's always the actual birth for confirmation too 😅.

And it's okay to feel disappointed right now. I know people who always pictured themselves as a family of 4 but end up having a twin pregnancy making them a family of 5. It's screws with what they always pictured for themselves. Give yourself some grace to work all the emotions out.

Its Gonna Be May GIFs Tenor
  • I did sneak peek couple weeks ago at 8 half weeks at a lab. I'm still upset over gender but it Sl getting better
  • @kaitrene23 We want opposite. I have a girl and really wanted 2 girls my whole life and only having 2. Did sneak peek at a lab at 8 weeks. A boy
  • Yes I did sneak peak with my now 15 month old at 8 weeks and it was right...A Boy!
  • Sneak peek was correct for me at 10 weeks, said boy. My sister did sneak peek at 7 weeks, which was the earliest at the time, and it said girl. It was incorrect for her and she has a little boy. I think it’s more accurate as the weeks go on.
I will say with mine, I did it with my second- who is my second son- and I was disappointed. I had them check at every appointment that he was still a boy. It’s absolutely ok to feel all of your feelings and to mourn the picture you had in your head. You’ll love this baby no matter the gender.
