1st Trimester

ANXIETY, TIREDNESS, & CRAVINGS, OH MY!

:s this is my first pregnancy and oh boy do I feel anxious! Trying to take it day by day and feel more calm. Any advice on how to de-stress? I'm on my first trimester and haven't had my first dr visit yet so i'm a bit nervous doing too much yoga and things of that sort- which i'm sure are probably safe to do but I can't stop overthinking it!

  • You need to calm down and live life normally (minus any possible drug and alcohol use).  You can do anything that you were doing prior to pregnancy.  There are women who ran marathons in their 3rd trimester.  The only thing that is not recommended is biking (stationary ok). Yes, you are pregnant, but baby is very well protected.  Just eat as healthy as can be, continue with your daily activities (unless your doc tells you to stop at your appointment) and live life normally as much as possible.  Be happy and stop stressing over yoga! 
  • Thank you!!! I 100% want to live life normally. It's so tough when I dive deep into online research of do's and dont's or hear from family members to not do certain things during the first trimester. Need to just block out the noise and do what feels comfortable for my body.
