Baby is the size of a(n): sesame seed

Team blue/pink/green: We're team pink since there's already 13 boys and absolutely no girls on either side of our families

but we will definitely be happy either way since I'm already a boy mom

Upcoming Appointments: August 9th for initial OB appt. and ultrasound

How are you feeling?: Feeling okay, needing daily naps and have some queasiness here and there which I did NOT have last pregnancy so it's been real fun trying to figure out when I'm actually going to end up sick....

Rants/Raves:
Rant: It's so flipping hot out today that we're in a heat advisory
Rave: We leave for a short getaway next Tuesday for our anniversary with our son!

GTKY: If you could be a character in any TV show or movie, what show/movie would it be and why?
Definitely Parks and Recreation because it's just so funny and I want to be friends with literally everyone.

Upcoming Appointments: 7/27!! I snagged a spot on a wait-list and got to move up my appointment originally scheduled for 8/12.

How are you feeling?: Tired and I was nauseated enough last night that I didn't eat dinner. I also have started take a stool softener on a regular basis because I get constipated something fierce when I'm pregnant and it leads to more nausea for me.

Rants: I just want answers to my husband's health problems. We're likely looking at ALS and I'm scared out of my mind tbh. And stressed.

Raves: my DS3 bday party went off well this weekend. He's been having some behavioral issues and did really good this weekend. So proud of him!

Questions: none

GTKY: If you could be a character in any TV show or movie, what show/movie would it be and why? I'd love to be Rachel on friends. Actually any of the friends characters but especially her.

Upcoming Appointments: interviewing a midwife on Thursday!

How are you feeling?: nauseous, fatigued, cranky, hungry

Rants/Raves: I can feel my ribs loosening already and it’s bugging the crap out of me lol 😂 with my youngest I dislocated my rib three weeks before I went into labor. Definitely going to be living at the chiropractor this time.

GTKY: If you could be a character in any TV show or movie, what show/movie would it be and why? Black Widow cause she’s a badass haha

Upcoming Appointments: Bloodwork done today (fertility treatment perk: so many early appointments) - HCG went from 138 on Friday to 1,063 today, so that's cool. First ultrasound is July 18, ~6.5weeks along.

How are you feeling?: Good overall! Some cramps, super tired.

Rants/Raves: I have to go to Boston for work on Thursday night/ Friday and ::whines in toddler:: I don't wannaaa. I mean I do, it'll be great but I am just not into flying right now with people being ding-dongs and not masking. Luckily it's a short flight!

Questions: Why is the hot-honey dressing from Sweet Green SO GOOD?! ... not these questions? Got it.

GTKY: If you could be a character in any TV show or movie, what show/movie would it be and why? Oh man, I wanna live in the loft for New Girl. That show is so solid.

EDD / Weeks + Days: March 2ish/5W 4Days

Baby is the size of a(n): pencil eraser

Team blue/pink/green: no preference - also will be the first grandchild on both sides... Just are excited

Upcoming Appointments: first appointment with my family doctor on July 12 (feels like waiting for forever!) and hopefully can make a plan after that.

How are you feeling?: So. Nauseated. And. So. Tired. I went back to work yesterday for teaching summer school and I am a bit worried... I have hidden so many snacks and ginger things in my office and definitely already needed them yesterday! But also, feeling excited.

Rants/Raves: I don't want to tell too many people this early on, but the lying is harder than I thought!

Questions: hmmm none that I can think of.

GTKY: If you could be a character in any TV show or movie, what show/movie would it be and why? Probably Pam in The Office. My dream is to be in a mockumentary. Or Leslie Knope, I mean she's so funny.

EDD / Weeks + Days: March 14 / 4 weeks exactly today!

Baby is the size of a(n): Poppyseed / speck of sawdust/ piece of sea salt / tardigrade/ can fit on the tip of a ballpoint pen

Team blue/pink/green: we're team green this time! I wanted to wait to find out at birth with both previous kiddos but the first time my family was so excited, I let them convince me. Second time was my DH's first time experiencing a pregnancy so I let him decide whether we found out or not. But I made him promise that if we found out last time, this time I could be team green all the way.

Upcoming Appointments: haven't scheduled anything yet. I'm waiting a week before I call

How are you feeling?: nervous but elated. It's hard not to feel like something is going to go wrong when you've had so many losses. Physically my main symptom is exhaustion. I can barely keep my eyes open by 8 PM. I also get nauseous and dizzy in waves.

Rants/Raves:
Rant: I forgot how insane pregnancy dreams are. I'm already having crazy nightmares!
Also I might have to tell DH sooner than I planned. I've been documenting our TTC journey on TikTok. I do testing videos pretty much every month so it's already on my TikTok that I got a positive. For the first time in over a year of using TikTok, a family member found one of my videos 🤦🏻 my little sister. And if she tells anyone on my side of the family then I'm toast. No one can keep a secret in my family.

Rave: Thank you to Mio drops for making water tolerable 🙏🏻 every time I get pregnant, plain water makes me queasy. Orange vanilla Mio drops are the best invention ever. Also thank you to Walmart grocery pickup cause shopping in store sucks.

Questions: If you're a STM+, have you gotten symptoms earlier with each pregnancy? Because my first, I didn't get any symptoms until almost 9 weeks and then my second was 7.5 weeks. And I started having morning sickness and dizziness before my period was even due with this one.

GTKY: If you could be a character in any TV show or movie, what show/movie would it be and why?

This is a tough one. My comfort show is Call the Midwife and I would love to be a midwife / birth worker. So probably that.

@mytrueloves Say more about this orange vanilla flavor?! Mmm creamsicle.

But also- I have symptoms this time around! I had a super mild pregnancy with my 1st, and this time I am cramping already. Like , "oh-- this is what all those blogs were talking about... now I get it!" My bestie also had bigger/ earlier symptoms with her recent 2nd, so I feel like it's normal to have that happen.

@heytallmama it's SO good. It does taste like creamsicle! It's the only thing keeping me hydrated right now. It's also one of only 3 non-caffeinated flavors at my Walmart so I'm thankful for that too haha

And I fully expected to have no symptoms until later since that's what happened the first 2 times! I guess my body knows what's up this time. I've had tons of round ligament pain already

How are you feeling?: my in-laws are visiting right now (and they don’t help out) so I’m exhausted. Plus super annoyed at them constantly.

Rants/Raves: ready to get my house back to ourselves tomorrow!!

Questions: has anyone (especially anyone from Canada) done the sneak peek test? Was it accurate for you? Apparently I’d be eligible to take it anytime after Thursday but I’m skeptical if it’s worth the money.

GTKY: If you could be a character in any TV show or movie, what show/movie would it be and why? I’m with @mamahosch that it’s gotta be Parks and Rec… I mean I love LOTR too but I don’t think I’d want to live through that!

@mytrueloves I can’t remember when my symptoms came for past pregnancies, but with each they’ve gotten more severe. Really hoping this one breaks that trend!!

@mytrueloves I feel like I had symptoms earlier with my first but I also found out a few days after my period was due with my first. With this pregnancy, I found out at 3w+2d so much earlier.

Upcoming Appointments: Calling today to get some meds and get put on the schedule.

How are you feeling?: Nauseated and tired. This will be my life for the next 10 weeks or so.

Rants/Raves: My 4yo has been acting out recently, throwing major tantrums and being extra whiny and I can only imagine that she knows something's up.

Questions: Anyone know of a place that sells cheap twin platform beds?

GTKY: If you could be a character in any TV show or movie, what show/movie would it be and why? Maybe Evelyn Abbott from A Quiet Place. I mean I don't want to see my son and husband die, but I love her courage!

@firecracker_mama So sorry to hear about your husband's health issues. It's always scary waiting for answers.

@mama925 I had a pinched nerve in my ribs during my entire 2nd trimester with my 1st child. Even the chiropractor couldn't do anything about it. Wishing you well!

@mytrueloves Symptoms have started/been different with each pregnancy. 1st was nauseated/vomiting from 6-17 weeks; 2nd was nauseated from 6-20 weeks but no vomiting; 3rd was violently vomiting from 5-10 weeks and extremely tired. We'll see about this one, but I'm 5.5weeks and no bad nausea yet.

Upcoming Appointments: July 28th...seems so far off. I will be 8w+4d at that point. The last time I went through all of this I was under the care of a specialist, so I had a lot of appointments. I miscarried and we found out at 8w+3d, so this is going to be a nerve wracking few weeks to wait.

How are you feeling?: Great so far. Just a few really mild symptoms: sore boobs, a little cramping/twinges, some fatigue.

Rants/Raves: Work is slow for me right now, so I have a lot of extra time on my hands. I work from home, so yesterday I nearly cleaned my entire apartment! In the evening though I was so tired and sluggish that I just laid around.

Questions: None right now! I've been doing a lot of reading on the pregnancy apps.

GTKY: If you could be a character in any TV show or movie, what show/movie would it be and why? I have no idea. I have a lot of favorite shows I watch, but I'm not sure I'd want to be a character in them. I love any medical dramas like Grey's Anatomy or trashy reality shows like The Bachelorette or Big Brother.

@mama925 pregnancy absolutely is so wild. I had a single twinge of round ligament pain with DD#2 that made me test the next morning. But I didn't have any RLP until I was 18+ weeks with DD#1. And now with this baby, I'm only 4 weeks and having it all day. I've also never experienced dizziness as a symptom but I'm dizzy just sitting down. It truly does prove that every pregnancy is different

Team blue/pink/green: We definitely want to find out but will be happy with a happy, healthy baby! (Props to everyone who can wait until birth. I give you SO MUCH credit!)

Upcoming Appointments: 7/27 - 8 week appointment with a nurse to answer our questions. I don’t see my doctor until 12 weeks and will have our 1st ultrasound then.

How are you feeling?: Very tired and nauseous. Today I’ve had a lot of what feels like stretching in my uterus which I wasn’t expecting. Also have spurts of anxiety being a first time Mom. With having a medical background I think I go down the rabbit hole of what could all go wrong. I’m trying to turn that part of my brain off but it’s not easy. I’m also trying to remind myself that the symptoms I’m having are a good sign.

Rants/Raves: DH and I toured some daycares today and holy moly. Wait lists and costs are insane! I knew it wasn’t going to be cheap but reality is starting to kick in. By us waitlists are extending out to 1.5 years! 😳

Questions: Does anyone else not see their OB until 12 weeks? It seems weird to me.

Has anyone ever gotten an early ultrasound through a community pregnancy resource to calm your anxiety? Did it help? Or make it worse?

GTKY: If you could be a character in any TV show or movie, what show/movie would it be and why? I think it would have been a blast to be Sandra Bullock in The Proposal and work with Betty White and the whole cast!

EDD / Weeks + Days: March 7, 5w+1 day

Team blue/pink/green: Either! Blue for my side(I have one sister and no brothers), or pink for my in-laws(all boys).

Upcoming Appointments: August 12…so far away 🥲

How are you feeling?: Physically.. Good…but I know that will change! Breasts are the biggest pain right now, and bloating started to show up on the 4th. Fatigue, increased urination and appetite, mood swings and nausea started to appear today..

Mentally…trying not to overthink things! This is my first pregnancy after trying for a year, and was on BC for about 9 years. The gas pains, mild cramping have been getting to me lately. I’m an over thinker, so this will be a challenge!

Rants/Raves: I’m on summer break(teacher), so this is happening at a good time! Of course, I have more time to over think. 😅 Might be time to set up a walking schedule.

Questions: None right now, I have a close friend who is 20 weeks pregnant so I have been talking to her.

Oh definitely the Office! I love their bloopers and they seem like a fun group!

How are you feeling?: cramps, bloating and nausea. But staying strong!

Upcoming Appointments: 7/21- Dating Ultrasound, 8/3- Health History & testing at OBGYN with nurse, 8/10- Meet with actual OB

How are you feeling?: Fatigued but can't sleep & when I do I have the most vivid dreams that make it feel like I'm not rested at all when I wake up, congestion, moodier this past week over silly things, boobs heavy/sore.

Rants/Raves: Rant: Holy constipation. It's awful... bleh! Also, when I confirmed my pregnancy my blood pressure already went up to 143/84- I was there 2 weeks prior for a pap and it was 118/72. She prescribed BP meds and told me I'm high risk due to my age (36) and because I had pre-eclampsia the first time and my BP should be trending down in early pregnancy...

Raves: We've moved up our loft renovation to make the whole top floor our Master- we start Saturday rather than in January when it was planned so it's less stressful and I'll actually be able to set up for baby!

Questions: Has anyone had Hyperemesis gravidarum with their first pregnancy and not the second? I haven't been nauseous at all yet (knock on every piece of wood in the entire world) but my first pregnancy I lost 20 lbs in the first trimester from being so sick and miserable.

Team blue/pink/green: I want to find out but happy either way! I think my hubby wants a girl though!

Upcoming Appointments: July 14 - I’m not sure if I’m getting an early ultrasound or not haha. I called and told them I needed to make my first appointment and gave them the date of my last period and then they asked me if I could come July 14 to meet with an MD (it’s a mixed MD/midwife group). Hoping it’s an ultrasound since I had a miscarriage earlier this year and this will be my first child!

How are you feeling?: SO TIRED OMG - I’m not someone who naps, but I’ve had to take a nap every single day this week. Boobs are sore but manageable!

Rants/Raves: My husband is really stepping up! He’s been cooking more often because I’ve needed to nap and rest after work and bought a bunch of pregnancy super foods to incorporate into our meals.

Questions: How do you not tell every single person you see that you are pregnant?? I’ve already told half my friends (I called five of them immediately after I showed my husband the positive test), and I’m itching to tell my boss (who my husband calls my work mom because we are close). I feel like as soon as we get the first ultrasound I’m going to just tell everyone I see regularly but then wait until the second trimester to announce on social media. How do other people spread the news?

Upcoming Appointments: First Apt July 27th

How are you feeling?: Overall, I feel good. I am experiencing two main symptoms: random hot flashes and loss of appetite.

Rants/Raves: Loss of appetite sucks as a foodie. I want to eat, but I have zero desire to. I am forcing myself to eat small meals multiple times a day, but even then it’s hard.

Questions: What prenatal vitamins/supplements are y’all taking?

GTKY: There are so many characters I would like to live vicariously through lol. But anyone that is rich with a bunch of money 😂

@knottied9ff0906e4f13e28 I take Materna prenatals, and I’m taking iron since I’ve been iron deficient in all of my previous pregnancies.
