How are things going? What is something that you are struggling with and/or what is going well?
Kinfof relaxed right now with everything going on in the world, we are taking it easy on the TTC front. I really want to focus on my weight loss right now, and DH is flipping out over all of our house stuff, so relaxed is the name of the game right now.

@mambo5-2 - I’m feeling vicariously so looking forward for your beta this Thursday. Sending mucho good vibes. I am also feeling more anxious this month than I have been - the past few tries I’ve been pretty numb to it all, less so this time!

2CPs last year and 1 MMC w/ D&C at 10 wks this year. Just old eggs, playing the numbers game for a good one.

Status: Medicated IUI, TWW, 8dpo

How are things going? What is something that you are struggling with and/or what is going well? Things are ok. I’m feeling a little more anxious, and also a little more hopeful. That makes me nervous, but I really do want to embrace the hopeful feelings and let myself feel excited for the possibility. Even though numb can be easier, I really don’t want to be numb.

My niece is having a baby shower in a couple weeks - a week after I test and a day before my birthday. I know I don’t have to go, but even the buying gifts has felt so weird.

Any testing coming up/any recent results? Will get to do HPT on Sunday.

GTKY: What is on your poolside playlist? I’ve been listening to Spiritual Materialism on audiobooks. And also a hopeful playlist for this cycle. Some fave songs on there: I just haven’t met you yet - Michael Buble. My Way - both Frank Sinatra and Sid Vicious. I’ve got my mind set on you (best lyrics: it’s gonna take money, a whole lotta spending money 😂). Don’t stop believin.

How are things going? What is something that you are struggling with and/or what is going well? Urgh. I had an appointment with my psychiatrist today and it was a veritable disaster. He does this thing at the beginning of each session where he recaps where we were last time we met. Well last time was 4 days before I found out about about the MMC. I DELIBERATELY asked my psychotherapist to send a message to my psychiatrist (they’re in the same group) telling him about the miscarriage, but he apparently didn’t get it. So I sat stone-faced while he reminded me of where we were 2 months ago and then very clearly told him how I felt about this mishap. He was extremely apologetic, so for that I am happy but honestly it was the WORST FEELING. I almost cried. He repeated multiple times how sorry he was for the miscommunication.

Any testing coming up/any recent results? I just got my standard thyroid panel done and I’m happy to say that my TSH is finally in range of where it’s supposed to be when taking Synthroid (0.5-1.0). Looks like we finally found the optimal dose.

I also FINALLY had my hematology consult this morning (recommended by my RE because of chronically low platelets, mutually exclusive with recommendation from RI to use Lovenox post-transfer). He’s sending me for a lot of blood tests as well as a bone marrow biopsy. The latter quite frankly sounds scary but he said it definitely sounds worse than it actually is.

I'm emotionally preparing for a negative beta tomorrow and it hurts, there were lots of tears. H is trying to be positive but like its not likely.

@acleverusername OMG how awful for you! That is a serious lapse, and I'm glad you were able to tell him how you felt about it. Feel free to tell me to butt out, but have you been using Lovenox prior to this, or is this for your next transfer? I ask because you can develop antibodies to heparin-containing anticoagulants that can cause platelet destruction. Hoping you get some answers re your platelets soon!

How are things going? What is something that you are struggling with and/or what is going well? Honestly, its the same old, same old with my TTC emotions. DH wants to wait one more cycle before trying Clomid again, because of the risk of multiples. Logically I know that one more month isn't going to make a huge difference, but at the same time I'm like we tried for 16 months before and it didn't work so don't you think we should just move on?

@acleverusername - that is so awful!!! Your psychiatrist could use a primer on working with women TTC!!!! What an insensitive and unthinking thing to do. I’m so glad you gave him that feedback right then!! It is hard to stand up for yourself like that, and especially to medical professionals!! *standing ovation*

@bbrahmbhatt I totally get the struggle of "when do we start treatment." Re: heparin, I haven't used Lovenox before. My RE – who's the best – really wanted me to see a hematologist before using it. Plus, she wanted to rule out any underlying issues pre-pregnancy.
@rockstarmomma152 I don't love my current psychiatrist but all the women's health minded are out of network. That said, I think I'm going to bite the bullet and switch to someone who does focus on infertility/TTC. I reached out to a provider who has someone else joining her practice in mid-July so I hope I can get in with her.

@acleverusername my stuff always tells me my liver sucks. My GI says my liver does not suck it simply works a little bit different as my baseline is just different.

@acleverusername Dr. Google is the WORST. The leukemia associated with high B12 is exceedingly rare. Also, I'm sure you've had a complete metabolic panel, which would show how your kidneys and liver are doing, so those are probably fine. Have you checked your supplements to see if there is any sneaky B12 in there?

@bbrahmbhatt I was really hoping you'd comment to "talk me off the ledge". I haven't had my CBC checked since March and lord knows that wine was quite necessary grieving my loss, so maybe I overdid it? My prenatal has a micro amount of B12 at 2.8mcg (yes, microgram. I double checked!) Anyways, I won't freak out until I get the rest of my testing done / hear from the doctor.

@acleverusername oh no, that was meant to be very reassuring! I'm sorry! It was most definitely necessary and I doubt you did any lasting damage. I'm kind of stumped on the B12...as I think your liver and kidneys are probably working fine. On the C3, you typically need to see both C3 and C4 low for lupus. I'm assuming your C4 is ok since you didn't mention it? Have you had a lot of recurrent infections in your life? Isolated C3 deficiency would most likely predispose you to more infections, but I'm not aware of any other systemic disease that it is associated with.
