Too Hot in swaddle?

Hi! I just got the halo organic cotton swaddle and wondering if my LO is getting too hot at night. I keep the temp at 68, and he is just in a diaper underneath but his skin still feels hot to the touch when I check it. He seems to be sleeping better with it but I don’t want it to be because he is so hot. Please help, thanks!

    Hi! I have been panicking over the same issue for the past week - my midwife told me yesterday that as long as their internal temp stays between 97 & 99 degrees that they are absolutely fine. I got caught up in checking the temp on their chest with a no touch thermometer and it was reading dangerously high but when I used a rectal thermometer, he was perfect. She also said that babies love to be warm and they will cry and fuss if they get too warm or too cold. She said a fever will be extremely obvious as well. Hope this gives you some comfort.

    What is the TOG if the swaddle? If it’s 1 I’m sure they’re fine. I put my lo in a short sleeve onesie and swaddle at 70° and she’s completely content. One way to see if they too hot is feeling their neck. If it’s clammy then they’re too warm, but make sure it’s not spit up or drool that you’re feeling :)

    I had the same one for my baby and started to get a rash. Doctor said it was a heat rash so I ordered Bycc Bynn 2 Pack Swaddle Sack with Arms Up Design from Amazon. They are a cotton and spandex material and have helped.
