Brown blood this morning...really scared!!!

I just had my 4 week checkup on Wednesday and everything was great. Baby was moving and heartbeat was strong. This morning i woke up and went to the bathroom and there was brown blood, not heavy but more than spotting. I went again a few minutes later and there was nothing. I called my doctor and left a message since they aren't in until 8:30. I'm not having any pain or cramping, but I'm terrified. I have an at home doppler that I've been using to hear her heartbeat, so i used it just now and I can't find her. I'm absolutely freaking out. This is my first baby and I'm terrified of losing her. Has this happened for anyone else before? 😭

  • It's could be a subchorionic hematoma, which is essentially a bruise in your uterine wall.  They are fairly common.  When I had mine, they told me to put my feet up and rest for a day or two and had me go in for an ultrasound.  Only your doctor can tell you what is going on.  Take it easy until they call you back.

  • Was it a transvaginal ultrasound? That process may have irritated your vagina or cervix. I hope your doctor gets back to you soon for some peace of mind! 💗
  • Or if they did a pap smear that causes it as well. Mine just had me do one and I bled a bit for the day. Also for the doppler make sure you're using a lot of gel and move it all over, not enough gel and you definitely won't hear anything. The baby can be moving around. I know mine went from bottom left just above my public hairline to the lower part of my mid abdominal. Honestly though what you're saying sounds fine since it stopped and wasn't heavy, so as hard as it is I would try not to stress and if you can't hear anything after a few attempts on the doppler today and tmrw then I would try to go see your doctor.
