Upcoming appointments: mid-July follow up including TDAP vaccine
How are you feeling? Good, just a little anxious for my GD test results to come back. Baby is moving a lot especially at night. Feeling like I look proper pregnant this week.
Raves/Rants? Iced tea is where it is at. (I mean like nestea lemon iced tea) From experience, I know that iced tea/sweet tea in the states is very different. Not something I can say I enjoy
Also, if you feel it in your heart, please consider giving me a "love it" to join the Facebook group. I am very close
GTKY: Which of your five senses would you say is your strongest? Sense of smell right now, but I feel like my eyesight is really good too
I am from the Southern part of the United States originally. Unsweet iced tea is a crime against God lol
Current pregnancy - First BFP on 1/4/22. Due date 9/13/22.
Four prior losses, no living children - 1 first trimester miscarriage, 1 blighted ovum, 1 chemical, and one extreme premature live birth daughter who died at 15 days old.
@alicia_e my arm was sore for the next day after the TDAP. I need to find some bulk nestea lemon iced tea. Perfect for summer! Gave you the 10th love it.

𝗳𝗲𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴?: Feeling good overall. I'm happy and have
energy. I do get tired quickly, but I've just made myself rest whenever I start
to feel like I'm overdoing it. Cramping has picked up a bit, but it's still
just sporadic. Sometimes my belly gets super hard and it hurts to even laugh,
but it goes away when I rest. The waddle is real. Nausea is still a thing, but
it is WAY less than it used to be, which I can deal with. Life is good.
𝗥𝗮𝗻𝘁𝘀: Hoping I don't have GD and that I just
made poor choices that pushed me over the limit. I failed by 4 points. I wasn't
thinking about my 28wk appointment when I bought that iced caramel high rise
from caribou…. It was a small, but that's still 32g sugar I didn't need to add
in. I wasn't feeling very hungry (which translates to nothing I had on hand
sounded that great)and I didn't drink as much water as I do on a typical day,
so I'm hoping the 3-hour test passes with flying colors.

Since DS1 was a large baby, we get to do another
U/S closer to the end. I'm so excited that we'll get to see him again! Our
doctor discussed monitoring his growth and considering induction closer to
week 39 if it goes that route. I'd like to go as far as is healthy for him
without taking on complications from a larger baby. I remember at the end
just wanting DS out, and then once he was out, it didn't seem that bad in
hindsight just having him in.
DH is a rockstar. He's been in full-on work mode for
months getting our house closer to finished. We are tearing out the
kitchen cabinets to replace the sheetrock behind them in the first week of
July to prep for the mud/taper. Once the taping is done we can paint the
downstairs living room and move my office downstairs so we can start
setting up Zig's nursery. Then it's flooring upstairs, new cupboards, new
picture windows in the kitchen and upstairs living room, paint, new doors,
new trim, stain and install shelves in the pantry plus both hall closets!
I'm so excited to be feel relaxed in our home again!

Which of
your five senses would you say is your strongest? Touch for sure. I would say I'm highly
sensitive to touch. For the rest: I'm what I call brain-deaf. I hear all the
sounds and syllables, but my brain comes up with too many combinations of
phrases they could add up to. I'm nearsighted and wear glasses or contacts when
driving, at night, and while working. I'm not super sensitive to taste,
nothing's wrong but I can't just taste things and know if they need more salt
while I'm cooking. I hate deciding if it's enough salt, so I usually undersalt
and then people can add more if they want it. As far as my sniffer, it does
it's job, but it isn't noteworthy.
Team Finding Out/Pink/Blue/Green: Team Blue - Also still team no name
Baby is the size of a(n): An Acorn Squash...I'm gonna be honest, I've never even seen of those I don't think.
Upcoming appointments: Just had one Monday for my 28 week checkup (We are a little behind) and my TDAP.
How are you feeling? Can't sleep and can't breath. Ready for him to drop on down into the birth canal. Have had some mild contractions here and there.
Raves/Rants? Rave: We finally got the crib put up and a few other things moved into the nursery! Rant: I really wanted to go to the Beach this weekend, but COVID caused our church to move their Father's Day program to this Sunday and I know we can't miss it. Ugh!
GTKY: Which of your five senses would you say is your strongest? Hmm probably my hearing! My husband says he can whisper something in another room and I can hear it. haha It's definitely not my vision. I have awful vision.
@alicia_e thank you for the finger crossing! I'm putting off calling to schedule because I don't want to do it. I should probably do that today. I read online about scheduling in the morning so you don't have to fast for long beforehand, but my doctor didn't tell me to fast... I honestly just ate anything that sounded good each time I felt hungry. I wish there were instructions in the MyChart appointment like they had for the ultrasounds (for example, the part where I needed a full bladder).
@whitta1015 acorn squash is really good baked with butter and brown sugar! One of my favorite fall treats! Similar consistency to sweet potatoes in my opinion. I don't even remember what contractions felt like at this point. Hoping I can wait to find out again until it's time to rock.
@maple1422 Do you have to fast for the 3 hour? I've never done the 3 hour, but I know I didn't have to fast for the 1 hour. They just told me to eat a protein heavy breakfast and no sugar. Water or Black Coffee to drink.
@whitta1015 The scheduler I spoke to told me not to eat anything until after the 3 hour test and scheduled me at 9:45 in the morning. It was a long day not eating until 2 PM, but I passed with flying colors. My doctor gave me instructions at an earlier appointment (4 weeks prior). I don't recall the details, but I know it wasn't to fast. I'm a person who needs to write stuff down, so I can look back at it when I inevitably forget. Also, on the that contractions note, yesterday I had a pain that reminded me of contractions. I'm in denial though and just calling them weird cramps.
