  • Introduce yourself and anything you think is important: number of loss(es), when you had the loss(es), diagnosis/conditions surrounding loss, etc.

    So many losses

    Status: IVF

How are things going? What is something that you are struggling with and/or what is going well? Retrieval went well, only 4 eggs fertilized though and that makes me anxious. I really hope they are growing. Transfer is supposed to be Wednesday.

Any testing coming up/any recent results? Nope

    Questions? Nope

GTKY: What is the best gift you have ever been given? This is a hard question and I am the one that put it there.  Uh....One day I was really struggling after we moved and my best friend just sent me flowers to cheer me up.  It was very nice and thoughtful.

  • @mambo5-2 thoughtful gifts from friends are so special.  There is something about someone who isn't family caring that much to think of you.

Introduce yourself and anything you think is important: number of loss(es), when you had the loss(es), diagnosis/conditions surrounding loss, etc. - Finishing up my second missed miscarriage.

Status: Will likely be on vacation during O this month so I am not stressing with tracking and all that.  Winging it this month!

How are things going? What is something that you are struggling with and/or what is going well? Well, still bleeding from a MMC so struggling a bit still obviously.  But all and all, ready to get back on the saddle. Honestly, after my first MMC last year I swore I was done trying and went back on birth control for over a year until we started trying this time around.  This time, I said the same thing and my loving husband told me to shut up and try one more time haha. So, here we are, trying one more time.

Any testing coming up/any recent results? I have an ultrasound this morning to confirm everything has passed.  Results aren't in the portal yet.  I will call my doctor tomorrow if I don't hear anything but I would be surprised if it didn't.

    Questions? Nope.

GTKY: What is the best gift you have ever been given?  @mambo5-2, like yours, mine was a thoughtful gift from a friend.  When I had my first MMC last year my best friend who now lives in another state sent me a coffee mug with a heartfelt note.  It was just so sweet and meant so so much.

    TTC History:
    Started dating DH 2006 . Married 2015

    TTC July 2015-November 2015
    BFP November 2015
    Baby boy born August 2016

    Oops BFP February 2021
    MMC March 2021

Back on BC for a year to decide what we want to do.

    TTC Since March 2022
    MMC June 2022

    BFP September 2022 - Due June 2023!

  • @mambo5-2 @ReadyForaB those are both really thoughtful friends you have there. Good people to hold on to.

How are things going? What is something that you are struggling with and/or what is going well?
Things are going ok. I know I shouldn't be impatient,  but I'm trying to remind myself that this can take time. And we're just starting.  My would be due date month is coming up in August and I'm not very excited about that. Time has flown by it seems.

Any testing coming up/any recent results?
    No

    Questions? No

GTKY: What is the best gift you have ever been given? My mom gifted me a vacation together after I graduated from college. It was the last time I spent with her before she passed.  So many good memories came from it.

How are things going? What is something that you are struggling with and/or what is going well? I am coming up on the date I found out I was pregnant last year. Every one of these anniversaries is such a loud ticking clock. In general though, life is good. I'm busy, but transitioning into a job I am excited about that is very different than what I have done in the past. I'm hopeful for less stress in my new position.

Any testing coming up/any recent results? No testing, but I am starting clomid this cycle. Glad to be trying something different and feeling proactive.

Questions? Any advice from those of you that have taken clomid would be welcome!

GTKY: What is the best gift you have ever been given? My older sister gifted me a trip to Europe when I graduated college. We went just the two of us and it was so special.

  • @mambo5-2 I hope the transfer goes well tomorrow! Will be thinking of you!
@ReadyForaB "my loving husband told me to shut up and try one more time" Haha, that's so sweet!
@wunderkai That is such a special memory with your mom! Anniversaries are so hard. Sending hugs.
  • This is a late weekly update, but better late than never and all that, right?

@mambo5-2 @ReadyForaB I second what @wunderkai said re: good friends and holding on to them.
@wunderkai I'm so happy that you had that wonderful trip as memory of your special time with your mom.
@abjm0325 sisters are (mostly) the best. Glad you had such a great time with yours.

Introduce yourself and anything you think is important: number of loss(es), when you had the loss(es), diagnosis/conditions surrounding loss, etc. CP Sep 2021; MMC May 2022

    Status: WTO!

How are things going? What is something that you are struggling with and/or what is going well? Well, I got my first period post D&C on Tuesday. It only took 31 days. Means the D&C was well done, not that I had any doubt with TEW. I saw her today for my post D&C SHG, and I told her "you're the only one I trust with my vagina." I wasn't the first one to tell her that.

Any testing coming up/any recent results? SGH revealed a perfect uterus! So, it's back to babymakin'! Also have a hematology appointment on 6/29 and a reproductive immunology consult lined up for 7/5. The hematology one is to look into my chronically low WBC which would prevent me from taking heparin in TWW which is something that my Pregmune report recommended.

Questions? I know that many here talk about loss anniversaries and such, but my first empty due date came and went (5/25) and I didn't even notice it. That said, it's probably because I was in the throws of grieving my most recent loss. But I'm wondering maybe not? I guess when Christmastime rolls around, it'll be a new test (my EDD with this last pregnancy was 12/21). Does anyone else feel like this though?

Also, MH and I had boy & girl name picked even at 6 weeks (it was so easy!) and I"m wondering if I could re-used that name in the future. I know the pregnancy wasn't viable with Trisomy 12. Have others been in this situation?

GTKY: What is the best gift you have ever been given? Honestly, I don't have many ppl who are thoughtful enough to give great gifts. I'm generally the one who's excellent at giving gifts even to those who "have everything." But I have to say that MH hit it out of the park with my wedding gift. He gave me a Rimowa carry-on bag. It's expensive as sh*t, but he said it's because he wanted it to last a lifetime. Whenever I use it, I always remember of the reason and fall in love with MH a bit more.

  • @acleverusername I think everyone processes and move on after loss differently, so I'm sure there is a whole spectrum of responses. I will say mine hit particularly hard because of the crap my brother-in-law and sister-in-law pulled at the time. It might not have been quite so upsetting otherwise. I agree with mambo that reusing the names is a totally personal decision. If you're comfortable with it, I say go for it.
