I'm wanting an opinion from someone who's been pregnant before. I have a continuing ed conference I can choose to attend either virtually or in person when I'll be 29 weeks. Were you uncomfortable yet at that point in your pregnancy? Attending in person would mean I'd drive alone to a city 5-6 hours away and stay for 3 days. In person would be more fun than virtual, but I'm wondering if at that point it will be nice to just attend from the comfort of home.
@banana_muffin Each pregnancy differs a lot. I felt great with my first and would have had no issues with a long car ride or staying away from home at 29 weeks. This pregnancy has been rough on me though and I don't think I'd be able to handle the car ride. If youve had any back pain or pelvic pain at all by the time you have to decide, I'd suggest doing the virtual option. Otherwise, most people seem to still feel ok at 29 weeks.
@banana_muffin I totally agree that it depends on the pregnancy, but personally every pregnancy I have had starts to just get exhausting at 30 weeks. I also wouldn't want to risk a car accident, but I'm just paranoid.
@banana_muffin it really depends how you feel. With my first pregnancy that would have been doable. With my second I was uncomfortable going into the third trimester and was absolutely miserable driving just an hour to clinical.
Do you have to decide now? Can you wait to get an idea of how you will feel closer? If you feel well and want to go, then go! (talk to your provider first of course).
Thanks, all! This was helpful. I do need to register in advance, and my husband won't be able to travel with me, so I've decided to just play it safe this time and go with the virtual option.
