Four prior losses, no living children - 1 first trimester miscarriage, 1 blighted ovum, 1 chemical, and one extreme premature live birth daughter who died at 15 days old.

  • @alicia__e Definitely not enjoying the heat. But Iโ€™m also in Florida so itโ€™s been hot for awhile now. Already just today itโ€™s almost a feels like temp of 100 and humidity almost to 70%โ€ฆ I think Iโ€™ll hang out inside today. ๐Ÿ˜‚

And to think summer technically hasnโ€™t even started here yet ๐Ÿฅต
  • @alicia__e fellow Canadian here! Thankfully itโ€™s not WILDLY hot yet. Last June it was +30 to +40C at this timeโ€ฆ I plan to spend most of the summer in my kiddie pool or my basement LOL.ย
  • Oh gosh it has already reached 100 a few days here in SC. Today's high is 100. Highest next week is 101..I am not ok!
  • Willamette Valley part of Oregon has 48F and rain. Rain is normal, the cold is not. I'M FINALLY ON BREAK, DANGIT! GIMME NICE WEATHER!

@alicia__e ugh! Colds while pregnant are so much worse. I hope it doesn't last too long. Oh and I'll 100% back you on hemorrhoids sucking!๐Ÿฅด

  • @whitta1015 ewww! Stay cool and stay safe. The heat is no joke ๐Ÿ™ย
  • @alicia_e Bummer youย  got a cold for your birthday. On that note, Happy Belated Birthday! How did your GD test go? I keep hearing the same awful talk about being pregnant in summer, but so far it's been fine. Not any worse than summer not pregnant. The hot days are hot, but they would be anyway. I've been able to stay cool in the lake, the hose, and the A/C when I need to. Father's Day and Monday (two days ago) were the hottest days we've had and I made it through those! The heat definitely makes me crabby though - gotta get to some watter to keep it at bay.

    ย

@melyrae I forget that most of the world uses Celsius! It would have been nice if the US would have followed suit so we wouldn't need so many conversions.

    ย

@whitta1015 100 as a trend would not be my cup of tea. I was reminded when I was talking about how I want these last two months to fly, that summer always feels like the shortest season. It feels wrong to wish away the summer, but I really just want to wish away the waiting. Hang in there!

    ย

@pangolindrome Still hanging around 50F? I hope y'all get some sunshine soon!

    ย

@babywiik I was thinking of starting up a new thread for this week's check-ins since alicia_e started this one on 6/13. Our due dates are only 2d apart! I feel like I keep noticing small things like that that should have been apparent months ago. When do you like to put Mommastrong into your schedule? Are there a couple videos you like to repeat or do you try different ones often? I have a hard time committing a specific time and then I think I'll just fit it in and I don't. First thing in the morning I feel so productive that I start working right away. I might have to make it a brunch-time thing. At this rate, I'll begin doing it regularly after the baby is born lol. What a treat to have your husband home for a few weeks! DH took yesterday off to clean up some trees that came down on the fence between us and the neighbor's cows in the storm. We had two lightning strikes that dropped trees. I still had to work, but I work from home. It was nice to be able to spend my breaks with DH and DS. DH is planning to take a month off when the baby is born, and I'm really looking forward to that!

  • @maple1422

Oh no, sorry!ย  I guess great minds think alike. Still no results yet for GD test. I just went in on saturday.
  • @maple1422 lol I didn't look at the date when I posted. pregnancy brain is real. I'm so out to lunch๐Ÿ˜‚ I don't really have a schedule for Mommastrong but I should probably get one. She has 15 min daily videos so I do the ones for pregnancy sometimes but mostly I following the fix-me videos which focus on one specific area depending on where I need help that day.ย For my sciatic pain it's rolling on a tennis ball to release the muscles that are too tight from doing jobs that aren't theirs to do and then waking up and strengthening the muscles that should be doing their job but were lazy and let the wrong muscles take over. There are also a bunch of 5min hacks for the days that are extra busy. One of them is a wind down hack that I've done too many times right before I climb into bed๐Ÿ˜† I like knowing that I showed up and did something intentional for myself every day even if it's only a few minutes.ย
Yikes with the lightning strikes! The strikes didn't start fires or anything did they?
