Made an emergency errand run for fuzzy peaches last night. Also, I don't think I'd had a dorito since my university days, but recently tried one at work and now I'm obsessed. Normally not a huge fan of heavily flavoured chips but holy moly it was life changing 😂😂😂 Also still watermelon.
Y'all, this is not a specific thing, but lately I've been having what I'm calling grazing storms. I'll suddenly have this wave of needing to snack on all the things, and I want to hit every flavour. It doesn't matter if I've recently had a meal or not. My weight is still below my pre-pregnancy weight despite these surges of nommery, which makes zero sense to me. Anyone else getting sudden extremely urgent snackiness?
I don't know if I'm craving sweet because that's what I want or because I had gestational diabetes last time and I know I'm probably gonna be diagnosed again so I'm eating what I can before the hammer falls. I just had a massive cinnamon roll with cream cheese icing that I had no business eating but it was amazing
@reirei84 my GD hasn't hit yet so I'm definitely eating all the bad foods I love that I won't be able to eat once it hits. These bad foods include most fruit as well but also my favorite ice cream. I have 6 weeks left until it hits so yes I'm going to enjoy strawberry lemonade and a donut here and there. I do it in moderation so I don't see the harm.
Yes yes yes -- lemonade, juice spritzers, fruit of all kinds: apricots, cherries, strawberries, mango, and pineapple. Also ice cream every night. And soft cheese on crackers for midday snack.
The other day I made a virgin Moscow mule and it was delicious!!! Just need to find more ginger beer, because the last two grocery stores I went to didn't have any!
@krthouse Yes, I’ve been on the snacking binges as well! I am finally at my pre-pregnancy weight at 23 weeks. I was feeling bad about all the snacks, but I’ve decided to let go and just eat when I’m hungry. Trying to sneak in fruit and salads when I can, but those dang carbs just keep calling my name!
I'm really on a summer foods kick. Watermelon, corn on the cob, peaches, strawberries, milkshakes and iced tea are regular cravings now. I've been doing yogurt with granola and fresh summer fruits in the morning and loving it (especially peaches!!!)
We ordered in a massive BBQ feast from a smokehouse last night for my birthday and it was SO GOOD. I've been craving southern BBQ this whole pregnancy but most places the servings are too big for a random night in. The brisket and cornbread were a thing of dreams 🤤
@krthouse yess to the granola and fresh fruits!! Literally been my breakfasts every morning since the beginning of this pregnancy and basically all I’ve craved the whole time haha
