Thought I'd try out a new thread idea to celebrate any of our baby- or non-baby- related successes so we can cheer eachother on. Share your wins, mamas! No win is too small to celebrate 🎉
This is a great idea! My five year old, who starts kindergarten in the Fall, is reading and comprehending books between a third and sixth grade level. I'm so proud and impressed. She is completely self taught. No help from us. She's never been to school. I thought it would be hard for her compared to my other daughter but she's done so well on her own. My mama heart swells with pride whenever she reads out loud to me. I'm such a book lover that it brings me great joy watching my kids love books the way I do.
@krysnicole1022 It really is, and I definitely get emotionally invested in each of them. Almost at 5 years in bridal and that magic has never worn off!
That sounds magical. I ended up eloping because after well over 100 dresses I never found "it". I e been with friends when they found their dress and it's always a beautiful moment.
@krthouse That is so wonderful, I was so thankful for my very patient and sweet consultant who helped me find my perfect dress amidst a lot of family drama. How rewarding!
I just spoke with my HR contact at work to notify them I would be taking my max maternity leave of 12 weeks - and they let me know I can now take 18. It’s not fully paid, but I was literally crying happy tears. 😭
Financially this will save us so much more money and mentally I am so happy to have more time at home with baby!
