Gym routines

Before getting pregnant I was an avid gym goer doing a mix of cardio and strength training 5x a week. When I hit 6 weeks I became ridiculously nauseous and couldn’t do much of anything for the next few weeks. I’m almost 11 weeks and starting to feel better with less nausea but I feel like all my gym results are gone and I’m starting back at square one (super annoying!). So I’m just looking for advice if anyone if following a specific strength training program specific for pregnancy or still just doing their normal routines with modifications?

thanks in advance!

Re: Gym routines

  • Sydney Cummings is 38 weeks pregnant and has been sharing free workout videos non stop.  I hope to start doing them once I feel better. Check her out on YouTube and Instagram.

I’m in the same boat at you, I was working out until 5.5 weeks and now I’m just over 12 weeks and starting to feel a bit better. We went to Vegas last week and I got winded walking! Ugh. Starting from scratch as well, zero endurance.

  • I’m the same as you and just turned 13 weeks. Started working out 2-3 days/week at 10 weeks and ramping to 4-5 now. I do a mix of strength training with modifications (Following Sweaty Sorrentino Instagram prenatal workouts), The Sculpt Society App and hiking.
