Upcoming Appointments or Results: My next appointment with my OB is on June 29th. We are also having an ultrasound which I believe will be the 20 week anatomy scan!
How are you feeling?: I’m feeling… pregnant. Haha! Mentally and physically I am doing pretty well, but I’m definitely pregnant. The last two days I’ve been experiencing a toothache that randomly pops up when brushing my teeth and occasionally while eating. I’m hoping it’s just a fluke, but it’s some pretty intense discomfort when it happens. Anyone else having weird dental stuff?
Rants/Raves: Rave - now that we know the sex of the baby I feel like I actually know him a bit better and like we can get working on things without tiptoeing around being gender neutral! It’s so fun to know more about this sweet baby and though I would’ve been happy either way I’m getting more and more excited about having a boy!
Questions: None aside from just the general wondering about toothaches!
Upcoming Appointments or Results: 16 week app this Thursday, then AS probably 6/30.
How are you feeling?: Pretty decent these days, tired but mostly normal.
Rants/Raves: we’re flying with our 4 and 6 yo’s. They’re good travelers but I’m nervous to take them on a plane!
Questions: tips for traveling with little ones? We’re bringing their tablets but would like to avoid using them as long as possible. They tend to get super whiny when they have screens on
@babyraynnov2022 it’s a little different for everyone! Subsequent pregnancies are usually felt earlier and the first is sometimes not felt for quite awhile. If your placenta is anterior it tends to dull the movements. If you aren’t feeling anything by the 20 week scan my provider likes to know so maybe ask when they are concerned. 15+6 seems totally normal not to feel baby yet especially for ftm!
Upcoming Appointments or Results: June 22- appointment at MFM and with genetic counselor to see if this one has any issues( first kiddo high risk) they will do the full anatomy scan there.
How are you feeling?: pretty normal, lots more energy, hungry… seeing a bump
Rants/Raves: got our NT results back- very low chances of chromosomal abnormalities- sets our mind at ease. Starting to feel the little one move.
Struggling to sleep- especially on my side- even with the pillow.
Questions: none
@Gingermom15 - I bring quiet books and those paint with water reusable books. Also snacks galore. My kiddo loved watching the map that they sometimes show on the screens. We read books about airports and planes so she was prepared for what it felt like. Went to the bathroom a bunch. Made sure she was tired before getting on.
@babyraynnov2022 ditto to ginger- didn’t feel my first until week 16/17- this one is earlier now that I know what it feels like
Upcoming Appointments or Results: next appointment is Monday, I got the fetus DNA results and everything was low risk, but I’m a carrier for some genetic conditions so my fiancé has to get some blood work next week, the carrier tests take 3 weeks to come back so that will be a lot of time to worry
How are you feeling?: I was feeling great, and then I got Covid, which fortunately has mostly felt like a cold and I haven’t had a fever, but has still been annoying.
Rants/Raves: so grateful to not feel nauseous anymore. Covid has truly been easier than the first trimester nausea
Questions: anyone else get results saying they were carriers for a bunch of conditions?
Upcoming Appointments or Results: 16 week appointment today for triple marker test. nIPT came back low so trying to stay positive but always a little anxious to get the results back. We will schedule our 20 week today including our scan. Our doctor still won’t let spouses into the office so I’m hoping in 4 weeks my husband can join me. I know he’s feeling left out and distant as a result.
How are you feeling?: Starting to feel normal which also makes me anxious as I get nervous something is wrong without symptoms. But my bump is starting to show a bit (I think) so it will be nice when that pops to not just feel like I’m getting bigger without reason.
Rants/Raves: while my energy is coming back, I have zero motivation to start working out but I know how much better I’ll feel if I just do it. With two littles at home and working full time, it’s hard to find any time let alone the motivation. Any helpful tips?!?
Questions: anyone planning maternity photos? Any outfit inspiration?
@monkey126 I have three littles at home with me majority of the time. I usually try to workout when my youngest goes down for his nap. I give the other two their kindle fires to buy me enough time to finish a workout. I like beach body bc I can do it on my living room tv. I’ve been doing the prenatal barre workouts for the most part and there are even quick 10 minute ones for real rough feeling days. And really trying to just give myself some grace on days I just can’t bring myself to push play.
It’s a subscription service. You can download the beach body on demand app on a smart tv or tablet/phone/computer. Without paying I’m sure you could go to you tube and find free prenatal stuff relatively easily. Paying keeps me motivated to actually make time to workout when I can
Upcoming Appointments or Results: Anatomy scan june 21
How are you feeling?: physically not bad, mentally not great
Rants/Raves: I expected symptoms to ease up in the 2nd trimester but the anxiety that comes with that is awful. I just this week upped my med so that should help with the anxiety and the migraines. But it's going to be a long 2.5 weeks until we have the anatomy scan, which should provide reassurance. I'd love to start feeling her move, that would also help a lot. But oof that in between period with few symptoms, no feelable movement yet, and a stretch between appointments is rough.
Upcoming Appointments or Results: 6/13 for a check up, no ultrasound until 20 weeks
How are you feeling?: Feeling ok. Came down with a UTI, so that's been unpleasant and inconvenient! Nausea is mostly gone, finally!!
Rants/Raves: We had planned to take some photos to use for our big social media announcement this week, while we're vacationing at the beach, but the onesie we ordered didn't come in on time. Grrrr.
Re: Weekly Check-in for DD 11/16 - 11/23 (week of 5/30)
Next OB appointment:29th June which is also my 20w scan
Question: when can one start feeling baby move?

If your placenta is anterior it tends to dull the movements. If you aren’t feeling anything by the 20 week scan my provider likes to know so maybe ask when they are concerned. 15+6 seems totally normal not to feel baby yet especially for ftm!
Feel better now
