Upcoming Appointments or Results: next appointment June 30 Had an appointment last week. Heart rate was good. And the NP was in the room less than 3 minutes.
How are you feeling?: Feeling good.
Rants/Raves: I don’t know what to do with oily skin or break outs. I have never had this issue.
And DH has finally agreed it’s time to open the gender envelope! So next week I will finally know!
Questions: I totally had a question in the middle of the night and have forgotten it. Pregnancy brain is real these days.
FTM/STM/TTM+: First time mom but I have had several unsuccessful previous pregnancies
Upcoming Appointments or Results: anatomy scan in 2 weeks! Trying not to be so anxious about it, this is my first pregnancy to get this far and I’m trying to stay hopeful and not be all doomsday about everything it’s getting easier and easier, things seem to be going well at all our checkups and my NIPT results were negative for the major chromosome disorders.
How are you feeling?: Lovin’ the second trimester omg! My appetite has returned and I have a tiny baby bump Still get exhausted easily though. Wish my energy was back to normal levels but hey at least I’m able to eat more than saltines.
Rants/Raves: I am in the middle of moving so I wish I could “nest” and get baby’s room ready. Wont be able to do that until July
Questions: My boobs are about to outgrow my bras - anybody have specific pregnancy/nursing bra recommendations? Bonus points if they have the wide shoulder straps!
Anybody else thinking about splurging on expensive maternity yoga pants? 👀
@sudsy623 I wound up buying the habibee bras on Amazon for my last pregnancy. They're super comfortable, support my relatively large boobs, and are much easier to do and undo than the other nursing bras I have.

Upcoming Appointments or Results: I have an appointment with the high risk doctor tomorrow. Had to call the hospital to double check if it was a phone appointment or an in person appointment lol. I didn't want to go in and have them tell me it was a phone appointment.
How are you feeling?: A bit nervous TBH. I haven't felt baby move much since last weekend. I know it's just my brain running away with me but I really can't wait for them to use the doppler so I can hear it's heart beating. Physically I'm fine except I'm very tired.
Rants/Raves: I just want my children to stop using me as a climbing structure every time I try to sit down and relax!

Upcoming Appointments or Results: anatomy scan on 14th! We will finally get to know the gender even though the result has been sitting in my NIPT results in my email and it’s taken everything in my to not look.
How are you feeling?: great! Feeling like myself again and gaining energy back. I also think I’ve been feeling small movements at least once a day!
Rants/Raves: I live out in Alaska and this is our first summer here. The weather has been so perfect and now that I’m feeling better my husbands been pulling me in every which direction to do all the summer activities and sports, probably because it’s finally nice out and also so he can do all this stuff before the baby comes. It’s nice to get outside and be moving but he’s almost overdoing it for me because I don’t think he understands that I’m still really tired and making a baby takes a lot of energy too! For the 3 day memorial weekend we hiked 5 miles, kayaked, saw live music twice, did all our gardening, rode bikes, did another 3 mile hike, went to a farmers market, had friends over/entertained, and man mamas tired!! 😅
Questions: for seasoned moms out there, what do you guys recommend for strollers? My husband wants to get one of those nice Burley chariots for the bikes that you can buy an attachment for to make into a jogger stroller and he thinks that’s all we need. I just feel like those are so bulky and don’t have room for diaper bags or pretty much anything else? Our neighborhood doesn’t have paved sidewalks or road (it’s all gravel) so I was thinking we just need a regular stroller with sturdy wheels? But then again I’ve seen the strollers where you can clip in their car seat and that looks very practical also. Where else do people take strollers to? We don’t really have a mall/ shopping center out here, so we would mostly use a stroller for outside parks and places like that. Thoughts?
@stasia415 I think a good quality stroller is worth the money. We have a single and double baby jogger stroller and I love them both so much. I can still push my five year old in either when I need to. The single had an attachment for the baby car seat that made clipping it in very easy. I dont jog with my strollers we usually walk around the neighborhood, zoo trips, other outside places that’s its easier to have the kids contained or they might hop in when tired.
How are you feeling?: finally way less nauseous all the time. Still exhausted and getting occasional headaches. My boobs are killing me. Feeling little flutters when I’m laying down or relaxing- which is rare lol
@stasia415 we were handed down a graco click connect jogger travel system. It's a jogger (with bike wheels) and has the car seat that clips on it, but also can be used without it. I still use it if I'm taking just one child out. We mostly used it for going shopping but did use it for things like going on trails. Only complaint about it is that it won't fold up anymore but I think that's my sons fault for getting stones in the folding part lol

How are you feeling?: Still sick with whatever bug is going around. The cough is killing me!
Rants/Raves: I feel baby girl periodically. Tried the Doppler tonight and found her no problem in less than 5 seconds. But then the little stinker hid from us! My midwife at my last appt said my placenta was nice and loud in front of baby so maybe she’s figured out the best place to hide.
@stasia415 We live with all gravel and dirt roads. Make sure to get a stroller with good tires. Not those cheap plastic wheels with the rubber around the outside, but REAL rubber tires with tubes that you can blow up like bicycle tires.
@Baby-h2022 I am definitely with you on experiencing baby brain! The microwave alerted me my food was done yesterday & I opened the fridge 🤦🏻♀️
@Sudsy623 I’m feeling you on needing a bigger bra. This is my first pregnancy but there’s a nursing bra at target with great reviews that I’m planning on ordering
This afternoon I noticed an itch in my throat…looked in the mirror…I have strep throat. Not happy about it at all. My family dr put me on antibiotics but we have the gender reveal planned this weekend. Strep throat has no room on my schedule!
@baby-h2022 and @little_umlaut Baby brain has gotten the best of me too. Tonight I put leftovers in a Pyrex container and proceeded walk it over to the garbage and drop it in rather than put it in the fridge.
