Upcoming Appointments or Results: Weekly cervical length check on Wednesdays
How are you feeling?: Pretty Good. I have a zofran pump to help with nausea. I just got my cervical cerclage on Friday. Still have some shortness of breath and swelling.
Rants/Raves: My husband is the best and sweetest. He definitely does help with everything.
Upcoming Appointments or Results: went yesterday for a cervical check. Everything was looking good (and baby was wiggling all around.. so cute). Next scan is the anatomy scan 6/13.
How are you feeling?: great! I didn't realize how tired I was in the first trimester until I got to the second and started getting my energy back lol.
Rants/Raves: I started my garden and I'm pretty sure I started a lot too early. I've since learned that cucumbers, peppers, and tomatoes don't do well in chillier weather. It's been getting into the high 40's at night. So I may not have a great yield on those plants this year. I guess we will see! I'm new to gardening so it's all a learning experience.
@dumbledoredies if you're covering them when it gets chilly they'll be fine They probably won't do much until the soil starts warming up but then they'll literally grow by the day lol. Have to go pull the cover off my plants right now actually!

Upcoming Appointments or Results: Anatomy Scan on June 16th and doctor appointment on June 20
How are you feeling?: Pretty good! The bump has officially appeared. It isn't huge in the mornings but it is definitely obvious
Rants/Raves: We got a puppy! Thank goodness we waited until I was in the second trimester because holy moly I am exhausted. They should give a few days of parental leave when you get a new dog until they can at least sleep through the night Rave #2 - I am pretty sure I have felt some baby twitches
Rant... my mother-in-law. She always seems to have so many opinions and is the type of person that is "always right." The other night she came over and was talking about someone who had a baby almost two weeks ago and how they have decided to give up on breastfeeding. Her feeling is that everyone can breastfeed and that it takes up to 2 weeks until your milk fully comes in and that everyone should stick it out until then. My opinion is that breastfeeding is going to be hard mentally and physically and if I can't breastfeed for two weeks and my baby is starving, then I should be able to use formula instead! I am scared to know what she will be like when the baby is actually here.
Questions: How do you all deal with very opinionated family members? This isn't the first thing I've dealt with from her. Don't get me started on her judgements of me choosing to eat my steak well done now
Est Due Date / Weeks + Days: Nov 5th / 16w3d (this seems to be the most on due date in this weekly group)
FTM/STM/TTM+: STM
Upcoming Appointments or Results: Next appt is a week from today Anatomy scan scheduled for June 28th
How are you feeling?: Alright this past week. Less tired. Heartburn has kicked in. Maybe the old wives tale will prove true again and he'll be born with a full head of hair like his brother was. I'm also starting to have a harder time finding comfortable sleeping positions.
Rants/Raves: Rant - DH and I are going out of town this weekend and DS was supposed to go to my in-laws. However, DS has been acting up at school the last few days and lost screentime as a consequence. We also want to ensure firm bedtime. My in-laws are not good at following through when we've restricted things and are prone to letting him stay up until midnight (he's 9, so wayyy too late). As a result, we had to ask my parents to cover this weekend for us because they're just better at structure and follow through. I feel awful having to ask so last minute though.
Rave - I got a bunch of weeding done this past weekend and got nice long walks both days. Also, my tulips are FINALLY blooming!
Est Due Date / Weeks + Days: 17 weeks. Due date November 1

Upcoming Appointments or Results: regular midwife checkup and anatomy scan June 6 (so soon! feels like this pregnancy things are moving so fast)
How are you feeling?: feeling ok. Getting a little stressed about the end of the school year. Lots of grading to do, and LOTS of cleaning to do. I’ll be moving out of state and leaving my art teacher job and I’ve never been good at organizing and cleaning 🤦♀️
Rants/Raves:
I’ve finally been taking my 17 month old on more outdoor adventures now that it’s not winter anymore (winter basically waited until may to end here in the twin cities ). He loves it outside. Loves collecting sticks and saying hi to new people. I can’t wait for more summer adventures
Upcoming Appointments or Results: anatomy scan June 21
How are you feeling?: burnt out, I can’t wait until I can take leave, even tho I’m sure I’ll be even more exhausted then
Rants/Raves: Rants: Mainly just the burnt out thing lol. Raves: I moved to a new clinic and had my first appointment Monday. Seems like I’m going to like this one more than the last one.
@littlemarshmallow omg! so cute! Ugh...no advice on how to deal with opinionated family members. We have a lot and usually I literally tune them out when they are talking. Sure, sometimes I miss important info, but really I can't handle their BS.

Upcoming Appointments or Results: 2 weeks away ☹️
How are you feeling?: ok. I have been feeling very full all of the time which sucks in my world as I do enjoy a good meal. I hate snacking and refuse to do it (cue pity party).
Rants/Raves: Our family is being RIDICULOUS about a very small very informal performance dd will be in. Like they were freaking out because they couldn't get tickets and got really pissed when we didn't directly invite our 22 year old half bro who doesn't even talk to us unless he wants something. I just had to laugh it was so ludicrous!
