Subscription Boxes

I was thinking... Why don't they have these for pg women?! That would make a freaking killing! I should look into that. Does anyone do subscription boxes? I kinda wanna try the makeup one.

    Spoke too soon :(

They have bump boxes. They don't look as fun as what I had in mind though

  • They're never as fun as what you have in mind! I get Ipsy and have been happy with the four full sized beauty samples I receive every month for my $10. Cute nail polish, mascara, lotions/creams, perfumes, eye shadows/liners. They send you things based off of how you fill out your questionnaire upon signing up and you can change your answers whenever you'd like to alter what you receive in the box. Makes me feel pretty although I've been doing a lot more admiring than applying my Ipsy pieces now that I'm pregnant simply because I haven't been that interested in doing myself up. If Im not feeling up to shaving my pits or my legs, there's no way I'm applying lip balm and mascara.
  • Stitch Fix will send you maternity clothes! I have gotten some great leggings, jeans, and a few other cute tops that can transition from 1st to 2nd tri! I can't wait to get my next one in a couple of weeks!

  • @ncm0328 how far along are you? I was feeling the same as you up until just a couple weeks ago. I'm 14w now and feel a ton better. I need to look into Ipsy.

I just signed up for Walmart's $5 Baby Box. I'm sure it's not special but it has a ton of coupons and little samples. Apparently they have a beauty box too but I couldn't find it.

@sjecc09 is Stitch Fix kinda pricey though?

  • @doozer1345 I'm 13 weeks tomorrow. I'm sure hoping I get out of this rut in the next few weeks, I'm sure my husband would appreciate it as well.

You should definitely look into it, $10/month is totally worth getting excited over some new beauty products. You also earn points and can buy products that you like for cheaper off of their site (I haven't done this yet as I've only been subscribed for 3 months, but I've seen the option).

Coupons are good! I'll have to look into the Walmart baby box.

@sjecc09 I've had my eyes on stitch fix as well, but was wondering the same thing as @doozer1345. Obviously prices vary depending on what clothes and pieces you decide to keep and how many, but what's like an average monthly expense for it?
  • @ncm0328 They put me on a waiting list :( But I'm excited!

  • Just got my first stitch fix yesterday! Really cute stuff...ranged from $40 to $120. I kept a $50 sweater. If you keep all of it, it's 25% off...so with that it would've been $232. Just an example of pricing. =)
  • @doozer1345 and @ncm0328, you fill out a profile with style preferences and what you'd normally pay per item type (what you'd pay for pants, a dress, tops, outerwear, accessories, etc). You're not obligated to keep anything, but if you keep all 5 items, you get 25% off, like @kami09 said! I've had some fixes where I have kept one item, and some where I have kept all 5! It's been so fun to get surprises in the mail!
  • @doozer1345 do you have social media? I believe if you do something stupid like share on fb and follow someone on YouTube then you're off the waiting list. I don't have social media so I had my sister sign me into her fb to share and logged into her YouTube account to follow and got off the waiting list. She just deleted the share afterwards. I really don't like things based around social media for several reasons, but I found a way to get my bag, cause I needed it NOW.
  •  I get the love with food box - it's a snack box and for each box they donate a meal to charity. They had a special to sign up so you can get emails and get notifications on promotions https://lovewithfood.com/

I buy a 6 month subscription for my husband every Christmas. He absolutely loves it! There's lots of organic and gmo free healthy snacks too!
  • I would love a expecting box haven't seen anything yet
  • If you want one for clothes, Bella Gravida is a new one! Wrote about them here: https://karainthekitchen.com/bella-gravida-maternity-subscription-service/
  • I was a loyal Love With Food subscriber and only stopped because I couldn't keep up with eating it all

  • I think I'm too cheap for any of the subscription box things. The only one I could afford is the make-up one and I rarely wear make-up. lol

Ipsy put me on a waiting list also. I emailed them and informed them I don't have social media. They sent me the first bag that same month.

    They answer back really fast.

I'm not really sure if I want to keep it going because it's $10 each month and I've only used two things out of the twenty things I've received. I don't wear much make up to begin with. But it's fun to get a hot pink envelope only for myself ^-^

A 'Bark Box' subscription is a requirement if you have dogs! I believe you get three nearly indestructible (for most dogs) toys and a bag of goodies, which I've heard dogs adore and are made with high-quality ingredients! Unfortunately, I will not be able to keep this membership current, but as soon as I am, I will purchase it and retain it for the rest of my furbabies' lives since they deserve it.
