TTC cycle 5

My husband and I are trying for our first and we're on our 5th cycle. I'm having a really hard time with it even though I know all of the statistics which say it will probably take 6 months to a year. I have really bad anxiety so I'm constantly ruminating on why it hasn't happened yet. I'm wondering if anyone else here has been trying for around the same amount of time and also struggles with bad anxiety? Has anyone found anything that helped them cope? I tried using OPKs on our 2nd cycle but didn't detect a positive which really freaked me out, so I went to the doctor and he ordered a blood progesterone test for the following month which confirmed I ovulated. I'm still afraid to try using them again because they stressed me out so much. I also haven't been able to detect the egg white cervical mucus which is worrying me. Has anyone here never gotten the egg white mucus but still conceived within the year?

We don't typically do one off posts like this on our board. But yes many of us have tried for many, many months and have horrible anxiety.

yeah I’m 3 years and 3 losses into TTC and there are plenty of us here with longer histories.

I'm new to this and didn't know there were rules about how to post. I was just looking for support but I'm not finding this community very welcoming so I think I will be looking elsewhere for support.

@knottie697bdbc5db7a9d7e this is the Trying To Get Pregnant board. Most here have never been pregnant and are actively TTC just as you are. So questions like "when/how did you conceive" really don't go here because no one has had that experience.

I don't understand what you don't find welcoming here as others have kindly directed you to the threads that show how this board operates so that it is the best community one can find for support as they TTC.
