There was some interest in a thread about crafting projects we got going on so I thought I was start.
This weekend I am working on making a little housecoat/kimono out of flannel. Just another light layer to help regulate temperature. The flannel was marked for pajama pants but I think I'll get more use out of it as an open front jacket these days.... I'm still pretty new to sewing so I hope it turns out okay.

@janinegb lego death star just in time for star wars day, love it!
I'm working on a large intricate tapestry sized cross-stitch sampler. It'll take me at least a year. I'm loving it though, it's my biggest project yet and my first project on linen instead of aida.
Here's the pattern I'm working off of. I'm making small modifications... like the color and my own initials in the top right corner.
I would like to get started on a baby blanket but I am torn between doing crochet which I know very well and will go fast, and knitting... which will be a process. Anyone have fun patterns they recommend for baby blanket?
My little house jacket is going well so far. I don't understand how they want me to finish the banding so I will make the rest up and hope for the best.
I need to make a long-sleeve version for my freezing office!
I just looked up baby blanket patterns on YouTube. Which was very helpful for me not having any experience lol. Pausing the video and rewinding sure helped with learning new stitches. 😅 I like crocheting way more than knitting now!
Crochet is my tambourine craft and I have loads of simple-complex patterns if anyone is interest. My bub is coming in December, so I am busying myself making mittens, toques, sweaters, and stuffies. Also made a baby sleeping bag that doubles as a changing mat. 😍
I started a new cross stitch recently -- I cycle through, like, four hobbies, but that one has the most of my attention right now. It's the largest one I've ever done, and the first full coverage piece I've tried.
I don't have it nearby (I've done, um, a very small amount of one corner, lol), but this is the pattern:
