HCG and Progesterone Levels!

Hello! Let’s talk about blood test levels. I’m so anxious about my results. My first test came back 374 for HCG and 6.7 progesterone with an estimated 4.5-5.5 weeks along.

Is this normal? I looks it up and that progesterone seems low so now I’m worried waiting for my second test results today. 🥺 help a mama out! What did your numbers look like at this timeframe?!

Re: HCG and Progesterone Levels!

  • At 4 weeks I was 287 hcg and 18 progesterone. I’m almost 6 weeks at 4000 hcg and 25 progesterone. Hope this helps

I would talk to your doctor, but I’ve done bloodwork several times so far this pregnancy (had a miscarriage in March). As soon as I found out (about 3.5 weeks), my hcg was 12 and progesterone was 13 I believe. So I was put on progesterone supplements (my doctor said my levels needed to be at least 20). At 4.5 weeks my hcg was in the 300s. And at 5.5 weeks hcg was 5,880 and progesterone was 21/22. They said my numbers were great then so I don’t have to keep doing weekly bloodwork anymore (and I’m almost 7 weeks). Everyone is different and I would just talk to my doctor, although my doctor seems to think low progesterone was the cause of my miscarriage.
  • My HCG came back almost to 1000. But no results for my progesterone. I called and am hoping they have better news because that is so low and is very worrisome 🥺

I honestly have no idea what’s normal but my nurse made it sound like 5,880 was a ton compared to others at that stage
  • I started a progesterone supplement so fingers crossed baby stays healthy!!
  • I'm 5wk 2days HCG 900 progesterone is good, I forget what doctor said. I'm on progesterone supplements because it was low when I found out. HCG is going up but slowly. My doctor thinks that this is unhealthy pregnancy. I've had a couple of miscarriages and 1 failed IVF round. This pregnancy came just before I was scheduled to start round 2 of IVF.
Praying for my HCG levels rise
  • Help! I have been comparing my Easy@Home positive HCG tests to progressions posted online and mine seem way darker (higher HCG). I am in full panic as we cannot afford twins. As public teachers we will literally have to sell our house. It’s my first pregnancy. Am I doomed to twins for sure or could a singleton HCG levels be this high???
  • Reach out to your doc for a blood test to definitively quantify your levels. It’s the only truly reliable way!
