Happy Thursday, ladies! I need to vent/ maybe get some reassurance...
The nurse just called with my second beta results. On Monday, it was 7,867.40. My results from yesterday are 14,498. It hasn't quite doubled, but she said that at this stage as long as it goes up by 56% (which it did) it's a good result. What I'm freaked out about is that when I called in to make my first appointment, I asked if I would need an earlier scan due to my previous loss in 2012 and ectopic pregnancy in 2017. She was ADAMANT that they don't do any scans before 8 weeks, so I was scheduled for June 1. Now they want me to come in tomorrow at 8 am for a scan to make sure that baby is in my uterus and not ectopic again. I know that this could be nothing, but this momma is FREAKING OUT. Also, she said they will probably not be able to see a heartbeat yet (5 weeks 6 days tomorrow) so just another thing to fret about. I forgot how nerve wracking this first part of pregnancy is... 😭
Re: Please talk me down...
I had a MMC at 7 weeks in March of last year. The only reason I got a scan was for spotting after sex. This time, my doctor hasn't even put a scan on the calendar yet for me and won't until after my first appointment (with no scan) on June 1 when I will be 7 weeks. I wish I was getting one earlier. But I try to remember with my son I didn't have one until 10 weeks and knew no better.
I would definitely feel better about getting an early scan than not.

My scan went great! The baby is where it's suppose to be, and we actually saw the heart beating! We couldn't hear it yet, but we could see the "flutter" very clearly and the ultrasound tech was able to measure it at 98 bpm. She said it probably JUST started beating!
Thank you all so much for talking down this very nervous, paranoid mommy... Your reassurance helped me more than you can imagine! ❤️❤️❤️
