May Symptoms

How are we feeling this month, ladies?!

Re: May Symptoms

  • Pretty normal.  Slight bouts of nausea and a little cramping but nothing major at all.  Exactly 4 weeks today. :)

  • Definitely nauseous, super thirsty (but drinking water leads to the nausea) and a bit gassy—the joys of womanhood!
  • This pregnancy I feel so much worse than I was with DS. I’m technically 5w4d, and I have morning sickness (in the afternoon/evening), sore boobs, super thirsty, and so sleepy!!! Hoping the morning sickness doesn’t get any worse. Anyone else have serious pregnancy brain already?

i think i am 3 weeks 4 days along (13dpo). had 3 days of super faint positives. when did you start getting strong positives? I’m super sleepy + getting a bad headache today
  • @ejoseph16 yes!!  What is with that?  I sent my husband a message that I meant to send to my son's teacher yesterday.  Hours later he was like, "ummm, why are you telling me this" haha

@mmp22 I had super faint positives from 8dpo to about 12 then they started to get much darker.  Have you had blood work to check your HGC?  That is really the only way to know it's going up.

Does anyone here wear a fitbit/apple watch or something similar?  I have a fitbit and my resting heart rate has gone up SO much since getting KO.  I didn't have a fitness tracker for my last pregnancy so I have nothing to compare it to.  Has anyone else noticed a pretty big increase in their resting heart rate?  I am talking like 10 BPM.

not sure where this forum is based but I’m in the UK and we are told to wait till 8 weeks before we any any appointments with the midwife. I’m hoping to just keep testing and get a stronger positive soon. i had a chemical pregnancy last month 5 days after my positive test to just super scared!
  • @mmp22 gotchyah.  I do not have an appointment yet and have only had one blood draw.  My first pregnancy five years ago I had no blood draws to confirm pregnancy, I just waited for the first appointment at 8 weeks.

    TW - MC -
I had a pregnancy last year and they sent me for three blood draws each two days apart to confirm my HCG was rising appropiately.
    END  TW

This pregnancy I have only had one blood draw and I am waiting to hear back on next steps.  So here in the US, it all depends on the doctor, I guess.

I would go by the thought that "a line is a line" until you have a chance to be seen.  I definitely had super faint lines for a few days in the beginning.

@ReadyForaB okay, I’m going to keep testing and keeping my fingers crossed!!

no raised heart rate for me yet but i am only 3w4d

    all the best!! x x x

@ReadyForaB Yes! My heart rate is about 10 BPM higher than pre-pregnancy too! I’ve developed a habit of checking it multiple times a day because I’m so amazed!
  • @ReadyForaB I don't have any quantification (unfortunately) but one of my first signs that I was pregnant for me was noticing how fast my heart was going just sitting at my desk. This was even before I took a test!

TMI but anybody else having constipation issues? Thinking of messaging my OB for PG-safe options/meds.
  • Tmi- I have never been so painfully gassy in my life! 🤦‍♀️ I don't think anyone would even be able to notice any sort of pregnancy glow with this cloud around me! 🤣🤷‍♀️ Other than that, sore boobs and occasional morning sickness... This is all so glamorous! 😂

  • @jennifer_louise yes.  I can not handle iron in my vitamins.  I was taking gummies that had none in them while I was TTC.  Now I switched to one that has very little and it is still messing with me a little.

  • @jennifer_louise double check with your OB, but I used colace through my first pregnancy and it worked wonders!
  • @jennifer_louise had my first go around with constipation Sunday/Monday… holy hell I was bloated and hurting yesterday.

SO thankful for this group, I don’t think anyone else cares to hear about these lovely issues LOL
  • Here’s an odd one—blurry vision! I already have glasses but WOW, my eyesight got worse already! Thankfully, that and fatigue seem to be my only symptoms, along with occasional cramps and aches. Very grateful to not be violently ill so far, although I know that can change (I’m at 6w2d).
  • @ReadyForaB I paid attention to my HR increase too and that’s one of the reasons I knew I was pregnant even before my positive test!

Boobs have been tender more and more, and the fatigue is getting less or I’m managing it better lol

This is my second, and we told our daughter that she’s going to be a big sister, and I swear she seems even more clingy than usual lol she will be two in a few weeks, and has always been a mommy’s girl, so idk if it’s because I’m more tired or what, but she definitely wants mom all the time. Nervous about how the transition will go when I get further along and baby comes… Anyone else going from a single child?
  • I have a clingy 2 year old daughter and I'm 11 weeks. She's always been clingy so I haven't noticed anything different. She will be 3 when her brothers born. I hope she's potty trained by then lol
