Anyone else get pregnant very quickly after long-term birth control pill use?

I got pregnant 1 month later after 21 years on the pill. First pregnancy! Also, I'm 38.

    Hi @ravenhairedgirlwithbump. Welcome to our board!  We are glad you are here. On the bump month boards we try to stick to a format of posting so that it is easy to find information and build relationships.  It would be great if you could introduce yourself in our introductions thread and then read our board organization thread to get the lay of the land. 

    If you have a question we are trying to encourage all posters to either ask their question in their weekly due date check, the Great Big Question thread, or or weekly questions thread (starting soon😉).  If you have any questions about how all of this works you can dm me and I can answer. I was a newbie too at one point!

    Yep, only took two weeks for me! I was on the pill for nearly 12 years, thought it would take 6-8 months to get pregnant like my Dr told me. Well the was a surprise! 😅

    I was on depo for about 1.5 years- I got my first cycle 2 months after the shot wore off, and then after 2 cycles I got pregnant

    Got pregnant at 35yo one week off BC (after being on it since 17yo). Totally didn’t expect to get pregnant that fast! It was two months before our wedding!

    and this time around we tracked my ovulation, 37yo now, (I was worried it would take longer this time) but got pregnant after having sex one time. We are very fortunate and fertile 💗

    @ashnd1116 congratulations! That's amazing. This sounds like me. I was on Ortho-Cept (generic) from 18-38, had one natural period then pregnant! I will be 39 when baby comes.
