Do not do it! Seriously! My doc office says that is the cause of the majority of worried expectant mothers - "I can't find my baby's heartbeat." There is no need to get one if you are going to your appt.
They have had women bring them in and they are not even finding the baby's heart rate, they are finding their own.
So, unless you are trained using it, not worth the buy.
I got mine online at Best Buy (Canada). Sonoline B Blue Doppler. It is great. I can find the baby's heartbeat almost instantly. Just took me a while the very first time. I can also hear my own down there, but it's obvious because it is much slower. The baby's is fast and sounds like a clomping horse lol. I think it was worth the $70 - my first mother's day gift
The doppler has been such a big relief for my anxiety!! I ordered mine online from Target its the Baby Doppler Sonoline B. It was around $60 it works great! I was able to find the baby no problem at around 12 weeks.
