Twins or SCH?? U/s 5w5d showed possible 2nd gest sac

in 1st Trimester
Anybody been in the same boat?? U/s at 5w5d showed one gestational sac with yolk sac and fetal pole with a heartbeat! U/s tech said there was a possible second sac but it could also be (and probably more likely to be) a bruise or bleed. She also said there looked to be a “calcified area” on the second sac that she wasn't sure of. She said it’s possible it’s twins but more likely it is just a bruise or SCH. Do they just say this in case it’s not twins? Is she concerned about vanishing twin syndrome and doesn’t want to get my hopes up? I just want to know, even if it is a second baby and it isn’t visible. Thanks mamas!

    Great questions for your doctor! Do you not have a followup with your doctor after an ultrasound, if its not done in office?  If not, then call your nurses like and tell them you have these questions and either would like to talk to the doctor or get an appt.
