Brown discharge at 9-10 weeks

in 1st Trimester
Hi - I'm currently at 9.5 weeks and for the last few weeks I've had on and off brown discharge varying from light brown to chocolate brown. I've had 1 ultrasound which showed a heartbeat and next one is in 2 weeks.
I've miscarried once before and am really nervous about this. Discharge comes and go and I just want to make sure the baby is healthy

    Because it's brown I would think it's just from implantation bleeding that is a little old. Or if you have been sexually active it can be from that too. Good luck and hope all is well :)

    I’m experiencing the same on and off brown spotting but I just finished 5 weeks.  My HCG levels this past week rose perfectly fine from 471 to 1551 in 48 hours but my doctor is going to do a viability scan at 7 weeks just to be sure it’s not ectopic. But I cannot get out of my head that I’m going to miscarry for whatever reason. Some say discharge is perfectly normal throughout pregnancy so hopefully for you that’s just your new normal! ❤️

    Hi. I had the same thing. I went for ultrasound it was due to a very small blood clot. They told me it wasn’t a concern. Brown blood is old blood, it is concerning if it’s bright red and/or having severe cramping. Everything was okay at ultra sound. I hope this helps

    Same thing- had previous miscarriage so nervous- went in - at 9/10 the placenta starts to attach to the uterus and can cause bleeding - so it might just be that

    I had some light spotting for a day, saw the dr everything is ok, probably from sex, then I had light brown and even some coffee ground like situation going on, it’s all just old blood working it’s way out. Light bleeding isn’t always bad especially if you aren’t cramping. Hang in there momma! Sending you love

    I’m 6+4 & having some brown bleeding since sex the night before last .. OB said it’s probably just contact bleeding but it’s giving me the worst anxiety!
