  • I hope you feel better soon!
  • My friend had this through 2 of her 3 pregnancies and was often in the hospital for fluids, I’m so sorry you’re going through this as well! The kids turned out just fine but it was she was so miserable.
  • Yes. I was hospitalized on both Sunday last week and Thursday. I had HG with my daughter as well and was sick up through 30 weeks or so. I've already been out of work for a week because of it and I don't know what to do. New meds only seem to help for a couple days before I'm back to throwing up all day again.
  • I'm so sorry you're going through this @lulam13 and @mrs-kay929 I hope your doctors find something that works for you both soon.

I’m so sorry @mrs-kay929 ! How far along are you? I’m 9w3d and it has been like this for about a month now. But over the past week I’m vomiting around 15 times a day. I have the same issue with medication not working. I finally felt relief in the ER with fluids and anti nausea in the IV. Honestly I plan to keep going back if that’s the only way I can get relief. What are you taking? I also have a daughter and it was very hard on her when I was gone yesterday. I was sick with her and lost about 20 pounds but I’m so much more sick this time. I’ve lost about 15 pounds in a month. If you find something that helps let me know! This is just torture
  • Sounds awful ladies I’m so sorry. Wishing you both relief soon!
  • Omg hope you ladies feel better soon. This is so awful 😭
  • @lulam13 So far i've tried the unisom/ b6 combo, promethazine, and now I'm on reglan. I'm allergic to zofran so that makes things tricky.. I just got thrown back into work today and my head is on my desk more often than not. The smells of lunch heat ups made me gag. Ugh.

@mrs-kay929 how does the unisom combo work for you? My insurance doesn’t cover it so I’d have to pay a couple hundred dollars, but if I gives me relief I’ll pay anything. I’m on Reglan but it doesn’t work and I’m also on promethazine but as a freaking suppository because I can’t keep anything down! But the promethazine knocks me out which I can’t take during work hours. Just starting zofran which seems to keep me from vomiting as long as I don’t eat or drink. So at least now I’m not just vomiting regardless. But I just wish I could eat or drink something. How did you get through it last time? I told my boyfriend I don’t know how I can get through this. The anxiety alone of not knowing when it will end or if it will get worse is driving me insane. Omg yes I agree the smells are just awful.
  • @lulam13 it doesn't work well. I wake up and I'm wicked groggy which makes it hard to do much of anything. It was insanely expensive.. definitely cheaper to just buy them both over the counter. Promethazine made me super sleepy too. My husband researched and it's apparently also part sedative. With my daughter I wasn't working and lived alone so I had the freedom to literally sleep all day until I wasn't sick anymore. I wasn't taking any meds back then. I'm grateful for meds now, but I just wish they were more effective. I'm tired of feeling so miserable all day and my poor husband is doing literally everything around the house. Because I've gotten so sick again we've decided this will be our last pregnancy regardless of how it ends.
