Okay mommas, I need reassurance or some stories you've been through...my 8month old (9 months in 1 week) doesn't babble really. Not the mmmm, duh duh duh, or ga ga ga sounds most babbling babies make. She's very responsive to us, very active, plays, crawls, pulls up, giggles, belly laughs, blows raspberries and squeals to her hearts delight but no signs at all of babbling. I'm trying not to be worried but I feel like she should have something by now. We talk directly to her constantly, get on her level. We use feeding and playtime as times to 100% engage in talking and we talk about everything we are doing. I've tried incorporating babbling of sorts to my talk like "here comes the b..b...b...bite!" Or "here's you b...b...baby" type thing to really use those specific letter sounds. Any have a late babbler or even a story to share about delayed speech/babbling? I'm nervous. :(
