1st Trimester

Is this late implantation or early pregnancy?

Hi! It’s my first pregnancy I’m hoping someone can help.

I tested positive at 14 dpo. At 14 and 15 dpo I experienced abdomen cramping: tugging and pulling it even woke me up at night. Now it’s completely gone. At 11 dpo I felt a little tinging in my uterus (very brief!) I guess my worry is that I didn’t implant until day 14/15 which is late and a high risk for a misscarriage. Or was this just my uterus expanding? Any advice would be much appreciated! Thank you.

You are overthinking this. A tingling sensation is not an indicator of implantation and to my knowledge late implantation doesn’t carry any more risk of miscarriage than the average. Symptoms will come and go and what you feel is likely perfectly normal.

  • If you didn't have implantation until 14/15 then you wouldn't have been able to test positive on 14dpo.
  • Thank you! Sorry my first time and I’m super anxious. Just wanting to get to that first ultrasound. Appreciate your response!
  • Thank you so much. Appreciate your response!
  • Update: I miscarried. Likely a chemical pregnancy.
  • I'm so sorry for your loss. Sending you hugs ♥️
