Hello- pretty new here and first pregnancy. I’ve been having really bad indigestion for the last week or so which I know is pretty normal but today I started to have a different pain. Lower abdominal, feels like terrible cramping and has been consistent for a few hours now (5+ hours at this point). Came on suddenly and barely subsides but for the most part pain is continuous from a 5-8 on a 10 Point scale. No bleeding. Anyone else? Should I be concerned? Does it stop? Any remedies?
Re: Really bad consistent cramping. Help!
I then asked about the cramping and he stated about 85% of pregnant women complain of cramping. Not something they like to hear but it's very common and cramping and the tear had nothing to do with one another.
Also your uterus is like a muscle make sure you are drinking a ton of liquids (I'm terrible at this). If you are dehydrated your uterus will contract more and cause more cramping.
Sorry that was so long. Bottom line, do what makes you feel comfortable. My doctors office probably hates me I call with questions all the time. Better safe than sorry. Hope this helps!
