Hello hopeful mommas and infertility warriors -
My name is Lindsay and I’m new here. I am 31 and my husband actually turns 35 today 🥳 We have been TTC for about 18 months and were given a diagnosis of MFI in December 2021. Testing positive for COVID delayed our first IUI cycle from Jan 22 to Feb 22. Finally at our IUI appt we were somewhat caught off guard to have a post-wash sperm count of just over 5 million. I (realistically) had low expectations for the cycle and a plan with our clinic to discuss moving directly to IVF if the IUI did not take. We are fortunate to be at a clinic that is not wasting our time (and money and emotions) doing more
IUI with a lowered chance for success vs moving on to IVF-ICSI.
That being said, we are hoping to be on stims in about 2-2.5 weeks and navigating the waiting time between embryology phone calls, PGT testing results and hopefully a transfer in mid to late June.
If anyone is around this same timeline, similar diagnosis or just looking for somewhere to ask questions, please reply to this post! I am a pharmacist by trade and love talking about the science and data surrounding IVF.
Wishing peace as we navigate this incredible challenge together 💕
