8 week ultrasound?

Hi all! I had my ultrasound today and saw a heartbeat. Doctor measured me at 5 weeks 6 days. I have very long/irregular cycles due to PCOS and when k first had a positive test the doctors estimated I was 7 weeks, so hoping baby isn’t growing small.

Anyways, I have to go back for an 8 week ultrasound because of having previous miscarriages and I am technically a patient under an infertility specialist. I’m just curious if the 8 week ultrasound will be transvaginal again or abdominal? Any experiences anyone wants to share?

    I think it depends on how clearly they can see baby but most likely trans abdominal. I had mine today at 7weeks and it was abdominal

    I could see it on the ultrasound and the tech confirmed it was 135bpm. Looking forward to actually hearing the little washing machine sounds again at the next office visit. Did you get to see/hear your baby’s?

    I did get to see it today, it was 110. I will be 6 weeks tomorrow!

    I had an ultrasound last Friday, I was 6w5d and baby measured 7w1d with 150bpm. I couldn’t hear it, but my doc said apparently the part of the ultrasound that amplified the sound produces heat so to keep from harming the baby they don’t do that this early

    I had my first ultrasound yesterday!  I’m right at 8 weeks today.  It was trans vaginal.  Saw the baby and the heartbeat on the screen pretty clearly.  It was so surreal!  The baby even wiggled a little! This is my first and I had no idea what to expect.  I think it’s starting  to feel more real for my husband!
