1st Trimester

Terrible taste in mouth

9wks3days and i have been getting that terrible taste in my mouth. Kind of sour-ish. I try to have mints or gum or food to take the taste away but it always comes back right after i finish them. I’m so thankful this is my main complaint at this point but just wondering if there’s any tricks for making it go away for longer periods of time?! I don’t remember having it this much with my first pregnancy.

  • Sour patch kids candy seemed to help me the most with this

Hi there! Tomorrow I’ll be 12 weeks, I’ve had the same gross taste in my mouth since about week 8. It’s been really difficult to deal with, especially with the intense nausea I’m experiencing-the taste makes me more nauseous and sometimes causes me to vomit. I have also tried mints & gum which work temporarily. But I read that combatting the taste with other “sour” flavors can help so I’ve also tried pickles and salt & vinegar chips (or a similar flavor) and this seemed to help. I think I might try the sour patch kid idea listed n the other comment! But unfortunately, I don’t think there is much else we can do about it but hope that it calms down in the 2nd trimester. Hang in there! I’m definitely feeling your pain!
  • I’m 11 weeks and 4 days now. The taste seems to be getting better. It’s still there occasionally but i don’t notice it nearly as much. I started chewing a pretty minty gum and it helps but like u said temporarily. If it’s bad i just keep chewing gum all day lol
  • I’m 5w1d and I have this!??? Omg
