FFFC 4/8

Insert confessions below.

I've had tuna fish twice this week. Is that super bad? Why is it so delicious?

Re: FFFC 4/8

  • @PurplePumpernickel tuna is good! I ate it like 3 times in a week like 2 weeks back XD

My confession is that I've been using my nausea to my advantage, even when I'm not particularly nauseous. "Oh no hunny, I feel like I might throw up. I can't do that right now" XD

  • My mom sent home some homemade cookies yesterday and I “accidentally” left them in my car overnight… then ate them for breakfast this morning.
  • @PurplePumpernickel what kind of tuna, like canned or not canned? Canned light tuna is on the list of fish that you can/should eat 2-3 times a week that my fertility clinic gave me today.
  • Canned! Oh that is such great news. Last pregnancy I tried to limit it to once a month.
  • @PurplePumpernickel yeah! If it was canned albacore it says try for 1 serving, but canned light is 2-3 servings. The flyer they gave me is the PDF on this page from the FDA: https://www.fda.gov/food/consumers/advice-about-eating-fish

  • I'm making tuna salad for Sunday lunch, I had a bite of tuna ceviche (raw) on Monday dinner, I regularly eat raw salmon sushi.

My confession is, I've had 2 glasses of wine this pregnancy already, and will likely have a few beers over the next 8 months, typically only one a week, but I'm upfront about it with my ob, who reminds me that the recommendation is 0 alcohol.

  • I work in live events, but I’m not really “into” music—I don’t have a favorite band, I don’t like concerts. I would rather listen to an audiobook or a podcast than the radio. When we have an act come through our building, my coworkers will say, “You probably would recognize their music.” But 95% of the time, I don’t. And sometime I lie and say “oh yeah I’ve totally heard this before…”

  • @krknmama lol.  That is me with almost every band although I don't work in live events...but dh is way into music and refers to musicians using their first names. Almost all of the time I just nod along.

That reminds me of a very outdated FFC when I was in college.  Pre -marriage dh came into the coffee shop I was working at and was wearing a shirt with robot like people on it. Of course I had to say something and when he said "are you into Daft Punk?" I immediately said yes although I had no idea who they were.  This has continued to happen many many times over the course of our relationship although now I am a lot more up front about it.
