R/R: I'm still here. Sigh. I was in a lot of pain last night, to the point of throwing up. I'm curious if I just unfortunately got food poisoning or if it is just the worst AF cramping I've ever had. Either way, 0/10 do not recommend. This cycle is really making me question taking letrozole and progesterone together (well, in the same cycle, not together).

CS/Q: Is there any possible negative effect to the drawn out LP due to medical intervention? I always had a pretty standard 12 day LP prior to medicating and the change makes me nervous.

@abjm0325 lol @ "all the days now". Re: your question on length of LP, a natural LP of 12-16 days is considered "normal". I've also previously used progesterone to delay start of my period, and it's really NBD. If you think about it, progesterone-only BCP is exactly that.

CD/DPO: 21/6

Timing: -4, -2, -1, O, +1 (aka HIGH)

R/R: You guys, progesterone causes some weird a$$ dreams. Last night I dreamt that my dog (corgi) met a cat and the cat was all vicious and stuff (my dog hasn't shown positive tendencies towards cats in the past) while my dog was being barky at here. And then somehow, the cat ended up jumping on top of my dog to quiet her down, and then on second look, the cat was giant and had the markings of Ursula from The Little Mermaid. YEAH... that's where my brain went. Thanks, progesterone. LOL.

CS/Q: Nope, but you can see all the sex we've been having this cycle at the link below. Hahaha. MH insisted on a Sunday tryst "in case there are any stragglers" LOL. He obviously failed human biology.

@acleverusername OMG thats a terrifying dream lol. I get crazy ass dreams all on my own so I can't even imagine what taking progesterone would do to me Side note, your DH is hilarious. But now I can't stop thinking about straggler sperm.

Testing: Saturday probably. It's DH's one day off this week so I'll want to know.

R/R: I saw first signs of spring here!!!! Some flowers blooming in our neighbors garden. Oh my god I'm excited. It's still in the 30s here in the morning, so gardening season is still a ways away, but I'm excited to start yard cleanup soon.

@acleverusername Lol to the stragglers! I appreciate your H's persistence.

Thanks as always for talking me off the ledge with science. I never actually took BCP (unless you count a month when I was 26 that went very poorly), but that makes sense that this isn't doing anything out of the realm of normal to my body.

@mrsmtothek This week is gross weather here (kind of cold and rainy), but some of my wildflowers are popping up and I'm ready for spring!

@mrsmtothek I love the first peak of spring! We’re about to have some record breaking temps this week, close to 90’s!

Typical LP length: 7 + progesterone, if I ever get a chance to use it

Testing: probably won’t have to

R/R: I’m spotting guys. What the actual fu. I had settled on starting the progesterone tonight, as I’d be 2-3 dpo. (When do you all start it usually?) I had been cramping a little yesterday, but this morning I had pink discharge with a spot of red. I’m still a little crampy too. I feel like it would be too late for ovulation spotting?

@bearmomma1 Oh no! I'm sorry about the spotting. I'd say start the progesterone tonight as planned and hope that the spotting was a weird fluke thing. I agree that it seems to early for implantation unless you might be off on your O date.

@bearmomma1 that is weird. It's definitely too late for ovulation spotting, but too early for implantation spotting. I'm scratching my head at this one. There are some documented cases of hormonal swings causing bleeding, so it's _NOT_ abnormal. As for when to start progesterone, you're good to start as soon as you know you've ovulated. Usually doctors says 3DPO, but my doc had me start 1DPO this time around. So, definitely start tonight.

@acleverusername a head scratcher for sure. I guess I shouldn't be too surprised as I've basically been spotting for over a month now. I was waiting a few extra days just to make sure I didn't jump the gun. My RE said if there's any confusion on when O was, just wait an extra day.
