    Month/Cycle? 4/4

    WTO/TWW? WTO

    Ages of other child(ren)? 2

Any thoughts about this cycle? I’m just hoping for a normal cycle! It seems like the world doesn’t want us to have a baby quite yet… my first cycle was a bust, my second cycle I had Covid and a stomach bug, and last cycle I had an upper respiratory infection and may or may not have O’d… so things are going well 🤦🏼‍♀️

    Any questions? Nope

Rant/Rave? We are at a stand still with the house currently… they finished pouring our foundation and they waterproofed and insulated it. Now we are just waiting on the backfill (scheduled for a week from today) so they can pour our basement and start framing! I’ll include some pictures 😊

GTKY: What are your go-to kid-friendly meals and snacks? We are currently obsessed with fruit and goldfish. I have also discovered the wonders of easy Mac…

  • @ejoseph16 omg building a house is so fun! We are thinking of going that route ina few years if we don’t end up buying something!

    Month/Cycle? 15/2

    WTO/TWW? WTO

    Ages of other child(ren)? 15mo

    Any thoughts about this cycle?

I’m still breastfeeding my 15mo, my goal was to 6 months but we are somehow still here and it works so well for us however I am slightly apprehensive it’ll have a negative effect on our fertility treatments (even though my doc says it doesn’t and that women who can naturally get pregnant do so breastfeeding all the time)

    Any questions?

Rant/Rave my little guy has been the sun and the stars for my family as we grieve the loss of my grandfather. I feel weird continuing TTC through this difficult time tbh

GTKY: What are your go-to kid-friendly meals and snacks?

yogurt with chia seeds and hemp hearts
    any fruit and veggies
cheese and sliced meat and crackers!
    Cucumbers and humus
  • What number are you trying for? #4

    Month/Cycle? 2/2

WTO/TWW? NA will be doing IVF

    Ages of other child(ren)? 9, 7 and 4.5

Any thoughts about this cycle? I got diagnosed with Protein C and S deficiency and get to see a hematologist this week. We will go from there moving forward.

    Any questions? Nope

Rant/Rave? My RE was a saint when she called Friday, she was like did it feel like a weight lifted that it wasn't just shitty luck what you went through. She gets me

GTKY: What are your go-to kid-friendly meals and snacks? My 7 year old is hella weird and loves weird food. She ate almost a pound of asparagus the last couple days, she also loves sushi, brussel sprouts, beans and makes her own dinners.

My picky 9 year old believes in cheese, cover it in a cheese and we get lucky.

We eat a lot of Mac and cheese, or the kids do I don't love it.

  • @tryingtogku I will say, it certainly has not been stress free! Especially in the midst of Covid, our price to build doubled in a year. But, we did get lucky and signed everything before interest rates started going up, so small successes? I’m just glad we are only doing this once! I can’t wait to be in my dream home!

@mambo5-2 omg answers! Yes! Hopefully those answers keep rolling in!

Rant/Rave? DS is finally over a nasty cold. He stayed home from school last Monday with a crazy fever and we had to basically force feed him Tylenol. The next day he complained of ear pain and 1.5 hours at the Urgent Care later we found out he had an ear infection. We had to fight him on taking the antibiotic too, but he finally is taking it like a champ. We have his behavior follow up tomorrow and I'm going to have her check his ears while we are there. We also have his first dentist appt on Thursday! Lots of appts this week lol.

GTKY: What are your go-to kid-friendly meals and snacks? We love goldfish, pirates booty, cheezeits, yogurt covered raisins, and puffs. Just trying to get DS to eat anything is a struggle these days so we take what we can get.

Any thoughts about this cycle? It is stupid and needs to end. Seriously though, just ready to move on to the next cycle to try again.

    Any questions? Not today

Rant/Rave? I have never had a cycle this long and it is annoying me. In non-TTC news, I’m going out of town with girlfriends and I’m really excited about it! Hoping it will be a good distraction and an opportunity to reset after this wonky end to the cycle.

GTKY: What are your go-to kid-friendly meals and snacks? I asked this to get some more ideas for DD! Feel like her “approved” food list is still pretty small. She loves meatballs, chicken nuggets, grilled cheese, and peanut butter. For snacks, fruit snacks, freeze dried fruit, goldfish, applesauce, and yogurt.

  • @ejoseph16 Ugh, I hate when life doesn’t seem to line up with TTC. Hopefully this cycle will be textbook for you. Love the house updates!

@tryingktogku I totally get being worried, but I don’t think you have to worry about BF as long as your cycles seem somewhat regular. I’m glad your DS has been able to be a bright light for you during your loss.

@mambo5-2 I’m so glad your RE is a good one! You deserve some good support moving forward.

@tessiesmom26 There always seem to be so many appointments with kids! I feel you on the struggle to get them to eat anything sometimes.

Any thoughts about this cycle? Not overly optimistic.

    Any questions? Nuh-uh

Rant/Rave? Guys I am choking on a birthday/holiday/birthday sandwich. DD's birthday is in May and I need to order all the things, Easter is next weekend and I have NOTHING. I have some time still, but my god weeks go by fast around here. DD is already asking re: all the things for her birthday and I feel badly, we're not doing a big classroom birthday for her like we did for DS. Slightly controversial but age 4 just seems a bit young to us for that kind of blowout. We're doing family weekend away at a waterpark instead, but it won't be on her actual birthday. We already know DH will be gone on her birthday and I'm anticipating all of the overcompensating I'll be doing to make up for it.

GTKY: What are your go-to kid-friendly meals and snacks? Breakfast for dinner is a huge favorite around here! They also love sandwiches (who doesn't) so if they haven't had one for lunch I'll do that here. Charcuterie dinners also happen a lot in our house. I try to do whole food snacks as much as possible, but we also do veggie sticks, sour raisins, fruit leathers, applesauce, yogurt + granola, and kettlecorn sometimes.

GTKY: What are your go-to kid-friendly meals and snacks? Ugh, I am lucky my son eats anything haha. However, he loves any type of fruit and lately, smoked salon snack wise.  Meals are hard.  He will only eat pizza, pbj, nuggets, mac n cheese and grilled cheese.  And rice.  He loves rice.

@mambo5-2 OMG I need to know how this works, re: your 7 yo making dinner! This sounds amazing but I'm such a control freak I'd probably have a really hard time with the actual implementation.

@tessiesmom26 Ear infections are awful I'm sorry!

@mambo5-2 I also suspected an ear infection for my DS but it was just a nasty cold, we've all had it this week. Seems to be trending right now.

All my kiddos make dinner!  My 9 year old has less interest but we have really been working on learning to cook and bake.  They start with a lot of adult supervision on things like mac and cheese and tuna helper, some hamburger helper.  We've progressed to coming up with an idea for dinner and going to the grocery store to get ingredients after they find a recipe.  I want them to grow into adults that aren't afraid of cooking. My daughter has progressed to asking if things go together and mixing up her own dinners.  Her last concoction ended up being pretty similar to a minestrone soup.

@tryingktogku I'm sorry about your grandfather. Our DD has been our shining star through all the loss we've had lately.

@mambo5-2 I'm super excited for your hematology appt to find out what they say! Hopefully a good game plan will be put in place.

@tessiesmom26 good luck at all the appts this week! DD had her first dentist in January and she did great!

@abjm0325 oh have so much fun on your weekend away! Seems like the perfect timing for it.

@mrsmtothek I totally know how you feel re: birthday sandwich. Starting in may until july we have about 5 bdays a month between my fam, h's fam and all the kiddos, plus holidays.

@readyforab oo indoor water park sounds fun! I'm hoping to take DD to any type of water park this year. She saw Blippi go to one and now that's all she's been asking about.

@bearmomma1 curious, are you prescribed progesterone?

    Question but TW - Loss
I had an early loss last year and my initial two blood work results came back with a decrease in my progesterone from one to the other.  The nurse told me it was still within normal limits and to not worry.  I had a missed miscarriage a few weeks later. I didn't know any better and had a completely normal pregnancy with my son.  This time around, I am obviously terrified.  I saw progesterone creams online and wonder if it is something I should consider if I fall pregnant again as I seriously doubt my doctor will do anything after one loss, although I will inquire.

  • @ReadyForaB TW MC

My midwife prescribed me progesterone suppositories after my second loss. I think progesterone is considered a fairly safe, noncontroversial treatment option that doesn't necessarily follow the "3 loss" rule that some of the more expensive and invasive testing/treatment often requires. I would just express your concerns to your doctor and see if they would be willing to prescribe progesterone for you to take in the TWW (or when you get a BFP depending on the doctor's rec).

Any thoughts about this cycle? Just getting back in practice of OPK, timing, etc. Forgot how stressful the whole process can be argh

    Any questions? not now

Rant/Rave? My toddler just started an in-home daycare 2 mornings a week so that I can start doing a little bit of part time work and just have a moment to breathe. He's having a REALLY tough time adjusting and it's a little heartbreaking and extremely frustrating. He's basically been only with me his whole life so I suppose I shouldn't be surprised but we are so social I kind of naively expected him to ease right in. He gets easily frustrated there and I usually have to pick him up pretty early. Has anyone been through this kind of transition?

GTKY: What are your go-to kid-friendly meals and snacks? Bananas are our #1 snack right now. Also berries, freeze dried corn and peas. For meals - eggs, oatmeal pancakes, chicken, steak, steamed carrots, steamed zucchini, and mashed potatoes are a big hit.
  • @gladmamma Glad you decided to join us! I'm sorry your DS is having a rough transition. I did find that my DD did better when she was little when my DH dropped her off in the mornings (he is less emotional and less likely to be swayed by tears, haha). She would then usually settle down and be fine the rest of the day. Not sure if that's an option in your situation (if he is particularly attached to mom right now), but I think just trying to be strong and stick to the schedule will hopefully help him ease into a routine.

@gladmamma I feel you, this wasn't easy for either of my kiddos regardless of age or social experiences. It's just a tough thing to get used to. What kind of reports do you get from the daycare about how he's doing? Unfortunately, some in-home daycares are just not well equipped to handle meltdowns - might be worthwhile looking into another place that's a better fit, especially if they can't help him transition.

Bringing a loved item from home can also help ease this transition, if they allow that sort of thing.

Edited because apparently I suck at reading  :#

My kiddos didn't really struggle with a transition to daycare, however, they are butts with babysitters in our house. Daycare was more structured and because they had early drop off and there were at least 2 of them they went in together.  I am no help clearly.  It does get better though with time.

  • @ReadyForaB Yes I'm prescribed progesterone. My LP is on average 7 days long, so we added it when we started IUI. It helped lengthen my LP to 14 days the first go around, and **TW: the second try it got me pregnant. unfortunately I had MC**. This is my first cycle using it alone with only TI.

@gladmamma Welcome! My DD had/has a rough transition always! It takes her about a month to get used to being dropped off, when she first started at 11 months and after any significant amount of time off. (Wish us luck after spring break this week) Our pedi had said make the drop off short and sweet. Quick hug, kiss, say mommy will see you later and peace out. Now a days, like @abjm0325, she always has a much easier time being dropped off by DH. Having her hold on to her lovie or whatever toy of the day seems to make it a bit easier as well. Our director says she always calms down after a couple minutes and then has a blast and doesn't want to go home at the end of the day. *hugs* it's so hard for the momma heart to leave them when they're crying/clutching at your legs.

It's more just that by the time he's been there for 2 hours or so, he starts to melt down and isn't easily consoled by the 2 caregivers there. I do get the sense that because it's a small program (only 4 other children are there with him) his crying is disruptive to the environment//other kids and that's a big part of why I get the call to pick him up (plus they know I'm not working and have the flexibility to get him and they want to ease him in gently...) We know 3 of the 4 other families who attend and the woman and her daughter who run it together are just lovely. I think big picture this will be a good fit for him but I'm frustrated by the slow transition. Just venting! ha
  • @gladmamma my son is five.  He has been attending daycare/preschool three days a week since he was 11 weeks ago.  He still cries at drop off.  I used to get sad about it and now I am just like oh whatever he will be fine haha.  I know its heartbreaking sometimes. They claim he stops right after I drop him off.  I feel like its more of a routine thing at this point haha.  He starts kindergarten this fall so we will see how that goes I guess.

  • @gladmamma  I tried to put my LO in a home daycare part time when he was 9months then again when he was 12 months and it just didn’t work. He didn’t nap there and he was super cranky by the time I got him. She also only had 4 other kids but they were all older like 2-3 so I actually ended up pulling my LO out and having family watch him while I work. He starts at another home daycare that is much more structured and his cousins go there and I have high hopes he will transition well at 18 months! I feel like it’s one of those things you either have to ride it out or make a change 🤷🏻‍♀️ But hopefully your little one gets acclimated sooner than later if change isn’t an option!
  • And Hematology Follow Up.

I have Protein C and S Deficiency, he is going to run labs just to make sure there isn't anything else funky but he is pretty certain that is what it is.

Regarding pregnancy and IVF, Lovenox while pregnant and doing stims.

The big question is BCP which are typically part of an IVF protocol, he absolutely does not want me on BCP but if we still do the BCP protocol I will have to be on eliquis. I called my RE as instructed after the appointment and relayed the information (the doctor will also fax his notes).  They said it is possible to do IVF without the BCP cycle but it may affect the number of eggs but we may do that.

    Now we wait, again.
