DH has high school lacrosse in the morning and college lacrosse in the afternoon/evening on Saturday.  He also has his own lacrosse in the morning and college in the evening Sunday.  We have SD this weekend, so the full crew. I’m dreading having the kids mostly by myself all weekend. I also told my parents I would bring them over for dinner on Saturday.  I regret that. Just the thought of getting them all in and out if the car is exhausting.  I just don’t want to do the weekend.

  • @KFrob just hearing that list makes me tired for you.
I brought knitting to work today because I’m tired of scrolling my phone while the work software freezes.
  • @KFrob oh gosh, god speed to you.
@fluteling I scheduled a work from home day so I can get an early start on the weekend and I am definitely taking it easy today.

I have a friend’s birthday get together tonight and there are so many things I’m not looking forward to. We’ll be at a hotel, four people sharing two queen beds which should be interesting. I may just steal the couch. The main events are hanging out by the hotel indoor pool and going out to a casino. So I’ll be wearing the only bikini that fits feeling like a cow and then severely underdressed in jeans and a t shirt while everyone wears sequiny sparkley dresses. Cool cool cool.
  • @KFrob I'm already tired for you! I hope you can find some time to relax with all the kiddos. I wouldn't feel guilty bringing kids to parents for dinner at all though.

@fluteling sounds like a nice relaxing friday at work! :)

@pinkkillersheep The thought of sharing a bed would make me want to drive home altogether. Forget bikinis and sequin dresses. Maybe it'll all surprise you and you'll have a nice time?

We're traveling to FL tomorrow and for some reason I'm becoming anxious thinking about flying when I'm this uncomfortable. Our friends are planning hikes and excursions with the kids and I'm here already thinking of nap time for my 2 yo so I can get some quite time with my book.

@pinkkillersheep that sounds more exhausting than dealing with my 4 kids! The thought of not sleeping in my bed with my pillow fort makes me want to barf. They’re probably going to want to stay up late too.

@Tulips29 no shame in using the 2 year old as an excuse to nap/relax/read!
