Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of:an eggplant - which feels huge
Upcoming appointments: glucose test in a couple weeks and then growth scan and appointment in 3 weeks
How are you feeling?: TIRED. But in general okay. I felt much better after my OB appointment last week. I asked about what week would be common to notice issues if any arise from marginal cord insertion, and my OB (who has been practicing a looooonnnggg time) said that he can't remember the last time it caused an issue and he considers MCI more of an incidental finding. So i still will get extra growth checks and such but I feel better about it being unlikely to cause an issue, more so than maybe it will and maybe it won't
Rants/Raves: We have a trip planned in about a month! adult only, our first adult trip since before my 3.5 year old was born and i'm really excited, but also it was much harder to find family to help than i expected, especially since we purposefully moved across the country to have more family support and have not often asked for it
Questions: I can't ever think of anything the day I post, and always think of things later.
GTKY: Do you have any plans for a spring break or baby moon? This was on my mind because we booked 3 nights away at a resort/spa. I really just want to relax, get a prenatal massage, eat some good food, and do whatever I want on a schedule that isn't my child's. We are just going somewhere within a short-ish drive, but i've never been there before so I'm excited
I'll be back tomorrow prob. to do this myself but just wanted to say @runnergirl2018 I read this from your post "Team Green/Pink/Blue/Finding Out: boy" and only clipped the end and saw Fall Out Boy - and I am here for that haha!
@jellie603 I really hate the assigning colors to biological sex thing, but i can see how a quick glance read differently happy to bring a smile to your Monday!
@runnergirl2018 Definitely keep us posted on the MCI! Glad to hear the doc is not super concerned. 🤗

Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: As tall as a bottle of Honest Tea. 🤔
Upcoming appointments: 4/4 MFM (the only plus of high risk is frequent ultrasounds!); 4/6 glucose screening and 24 (25?) week checkup
How are you feeling?: Mostly good. I have a checklist of allthethings to do before baby comes, and I'm making good progress. We decided on a preschool/daycare for after I go maternity!
Rants/Raves: Potential rave: I have a prenatal massage scheduled for Friday. I cannot wait!
Rant: Acid reflux and general stomach pain (the organ, not baby belly). I don't know if it's gas or a new food allergy, but when it happens, no fun.
Questions: Anyone have good recommendations for a maternity swimsuit (for a plus-sized mom)? I looked on Amazon, and it's super overwhelming with a lot of non-maternity options/noise.
GTKY: Do you have any plans for a spring break or baby moon?
No spring break, but yes to baby moon! My company has an annual retreat in San Antonio in a month, and I've asked for extra time at the resort, so we'll have a long weekend at a nice resort with a nice pool (hence the need for a swimsuit)🌴. As long as my OB will let me travel at 28 weeks... 🤞 (I think she told me not to leave the metroplex/Dallas area in the 3rd trimester.)
Estimated Due Date/Weeks + Days: 7/17 - counting down the weeks. Approx 15 weeks left if I’m induced a week early.
FTM/STM/STM+: Seventh times a charm

Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: A cantelope. I have a cantelope sitting on my counter waiting to be cut and I just can’t wrap my head around the (loose) fact that my baby is the size of a cantelope this week. My husbands reaction when I told him that (loose) fact was “no way. A cantelope is huge and round.”
Upcoming appointments:
I’ve got a regular appointment this coming Friday. I am also so over being pregnant that I looked at my calendar and calculated the number of appointments that I have left and with this appointment on Friday it’s 9 appointments total.
How are you feeling?: I am pretty tired all the time. I worked as a bartender full time in a nightclub until 4AM, 5 nights per week when I was pregnant in 2017 and I wasn’t nearly as tired as I am now, pregnant as a stay-at-home mom with two toddlers. They literally take the life out of me daily. I have never been a stay-at-home mom until just recently and I definitely down played the amount of work involved in a days time and I’m so sorry I ever did. Stay-at-home moms have the craziest and most demanding, selfless jobs in the whole world. Add being pregnant to a list of 1000 other hats you wear throughout the day and I swear it’s enough to break you.
Rants/Raves: My rant is that I hate being pregnant my rave is that I LOVE feeling my baby move inside of me. I set special time aside at night to lay on my back and just feel her move.
Questions: No questions!
GTKY: Do you have any plans for a spring break or baby moon? My husband and I have zero family and hardly any support other than my 20 old old daughter who I can ask for help from here and there, so a baby moon is way out of the question. We do live in Florida though and we have natural springs here that are so gorgeous and therapeutic and pre-historic and we love to take the 4 hour drive North twice a year or so to soak in the cold springs and rejuvenate (hippies). We are planning a day trip to one of our favorite springs, Silver Glenn Spring coming up soon and that’ll be our ‘baby moon but with 3 kids in tow/spring break-ish trip”.
@velvetblue88 thank you! I will. The other OB In the group that gave me the news ar my last appt was a lawyer before he was a doctor and so although I don’t think he was trying to scare me (he told me he had just delivered a healthy full term baby the day before with MCI) he also went over all the things that could go wrong and why they monitor. I like having that info but also feel better knowing that it’s rare for them to have a complication come from it! as far as a swim suit goes… good luck 🤣 with baby 1 I just did a 2 piece of my regular swim suit and that worked 🤷🏻♀️ I’m a different size now and didn’t have a good swimsuit last summer so I’m looking too. I’ve see some cute ones on kindred bravely and latched mama but they run close to $100 and I don’t know that I’ll get that much use out of it being due mid summer and having this be last baby. My plan is to just find a regular 2 piece and size up if needed and let people deal with my stretch marked belly 🤣
Upcoming appointments: ultrasound and ob appt in 2 weeks which feels like forever
How are you feeling?: good! I’m still congested and starting to feel like it’ll last forever.
Rants/Raves: I had a race this weekend and it was so rough. I’ve been sick and just not feeling great. I was happy to be done though.
Questions:
GTKY: Do you have any plans for a spring break or baby moon? Well we already had both. We went to Hawaii in January and then Colorado for Spring Break. I don’t think we have anything else planned except a short beach trip in May as long as my Dr gives me the green light as we get closer.
@runnergirl2018 that news sounds reassuring! Glad you’re feeling better about it and get some extra scans!
@velvetblue88 Your retreat sounds like it will be nice and relaxing - enjoy!
@oli9 I love being pregnant too and love feeling the baby move. I try to savor every moment knowing this is our last.
@lilirunning34 I feel you on the congestion! It’s miserable! Hope you feel some relief soon!

Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: a waffle iron 😆😆 IDK why, but that cracks me up
Upcoming appointments: Friday!
How are you feeling?: Overall ok. Congested due to allergies, which is annoying.
Rants/Raves: My allergies are driving me nuts
Questions:
GTKY: Do you have any plans for a spring break or baby moon? Not really. My oldest is in school and has a few activities on week nights that makes it hard to get away. I have to go to San Diego for work in a few weeks but not sure if we’ll have any time to go to the beach or do anything fun. It’s a really quick trip, but putting my toes in the sand would be nice! Otherwise, I have to go to Vegas for work at the last possible time I can travel (early June) and my husband wants to tag along, so hopefully I’ll have some spare time where we can go out and enjoy some alone time.
Team Green/Pink/Blue/Finding Out: pink/pink - going to double check at every US though because I am paranoid haha
Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: each baby weighs as much as a soccer ball. Which, again, are filled with air so.... 🙄. But we have crossed the 1lb mark each!
Upcoming appointments: MFM for follow up AS tomorrow and regular OB appointment next Tuesday. I'm wondering if they will schedule my glucose test while I am there. Also, I am hoping they just schedule the rest of my appointments because I'll be switching to every 2 weeks starting when I'm 26w. I need to see those on my calendar to get through this haha.
How are you feeling?: Over. It.
Rants/Raves: I have my sprinkle this Saturday. Both a rant and a rave because it'll be nice to see family and get over to NH. Rant because I hate pregnancy attention and I know everyone is going to be commenting on me, looking at me, asking me questions. And it just makes my skin crawl.
Questions: Has anyone else not cried in a suspiciously long time? I feel like in first tri I was crying for all of the reasons. Now, I can't even remember the last time I shed a tear.
GTKY: Do you have any plans for a spring break or baby moon? No. I'm not a babymoon fan. I'm uncomfortable and annoying when I am pregnant. I can't have beer and can't eat certain foods - it just doesn't sound enjoyable to me. I like to plan a trip for MH and I 6ish months or so after baby is born instead haha.
Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: Twizzler? I feel like that's smaller than the last few things but who knows!
Upcoming appointments: repeat anatomy scan today, for a picture of the heart. Stubborn little man would not flip over all the way the first time two weeks ago, and I did everything to try and get him to move so back I go. I also have a phone appt with my OB on Friday.
How are you feeling?: I'm ok, it's been a rough go! Postnasal drip after covid has finally started improving a bit, and round ligament pain has subsided (yay!) However, I have been a little itchy and my bloodwork came back with high bile acid sooooo I am super anxious to talk to the Dr as I'm worried it might be cholestasis - I had a girlfriend who had this and it was a nightmare for her. (Both her and baby totally healthy at the end of the day, which is the important part, but she was super uncomfortable at the end, and had to be induced around 37 weeks.)
Rants/Raves: I won't dare rant, I'll just rave that a few of my worst bothersome symptoms have improved a little *knock on wood*
Questions: Anyone else have experience with ICP/high bile acid/etc.?
GTKY: Do you have any plans for a spring break or baby moon? I think I already talked about this - March Break in Canada was a couple of weeks ago, and I did a little solo trip out of town to visit some friends and have some time to myself. First time ever away from my son and it was AMAZING - definitely highly recommend to anyone who needs some alone time before July to try and do a little solo vacation!
Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: a head of Kale
Upcoming appointments: 4/11 glucose test and 4/18 to see my new ob.
How are you feeling?: huge.
Rants/Raves: We put our crib and dresser together this weekend which just means one less thing on our plate! Finally realized how big I have gotten as I can't squeeze to fit through small space anymore.
Questions:
GTKY: Do you have any plans for a spring break or baby moon? Unfortunately no. We seem to busy every weekend along with trying to save money between the baby and the amount of weddings we have this year.
Jealous of everyone going on vacation though as I'm so sick of the cold! But I agree with @jellie603 that I'd much rather go on vacation not pregnant so atleast I can drink and not be uncomfortable!
@velvetblue88 Enjoy your prenatal massage! I could definitely use one now that my back is starting to hurt. That reminds me that I gotta think about a swim suit too. My cousin is getting married in early June and there will be a pool plus my friend who had a baby in July last year highly recommended getting an inflatable pool to chill in. Last thing I want late in pregnancy is to be uncomfortably hot! I'm starting to get sponsored posts on FB for maternity swim suits so I'll let you know if I spot any brands that also offer plus sized.
@oli9 I'm also thrown off by these baby facts. Like what, they're large enough for me to hold in the palms of my hands now?? Holy cow! I've only ever done a hot spring, not a cold spring. Is that just a natural pool of water?
@lilirunning34 hope you feel better soon. Congestion really sucks. That had to have been a rough race being sick at the same time.
@sunshineandlemons I laughed when I got the waffle iron fact too haha. I might just have to make some for lunch today. Mmmmm
@jellie603 so... what's the weight difference between a soccer ball and basketball? Because I had the basketball fact the other day. Now I need to look this up! I find it weird that I'm not crying over completely random things. Isn't that how it's supposed to go during pregnancy? I cry over stuff that's heartwarming that everyone else would also cry over. So why am I not crying over stupid stuff?? I'm normally pretty emotional! Maybe I'm the total opposite during pregnancy ha.
@courtneyqdk hope baby cooperates for you today at your scan!
@novaghost99 the fact that you have your crib and dresser put together makes me feel so behind. We haven't ordered any of that yet! Frankly we haven't done anything in preparation and it's bumming me out.

Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: baby's hand is as long as a Lego figure
Upcoming appointments: next one is 4/19 I think. I might schedule my glucose test prior to that since the 4/19 appointment is early in the morning and I'd rather not be up at the crack of dawn to chug down the gross glucose drink.
How are you feeling?: Still having that SI joint pain but it's not as bad as it has been. I've been feeling super down in the dumps the last couple days because once again, family grilled me trying to guess what baby's name is. Like, wtf with bullying a pregnant lady to get her to confirm what his name is? I'm so upset about it. I'm also feeling super overwhelmed at all the things we need to do for baby that we haven't even started. Which is pretty much everything. DH and I should have more time now so hopefully we can get the ball rolling on stuff and actually order the big ticket stuff.
Rants/Raves: our robotics team did really well at their competition last week. Very proud of them. Hoping we can now set ourselves up for success for next year. There's lots we can do for improvement over the summer. I'm bummed DH isn't WFH today! Tuesdays are always my WFH day. Can I also complain that it's cold? For the next week we're in the 30s and 40s. Boo!!! If we could just get to being in the 50s everyday that would be great...
Questions: Should I take some days of PTO for my mental health or should I save them so I can use them as part of my maternity leave?
GTKY: Do you have any plans for a spring break or baby moon? No plans yet for a babymoon but I'm hoping we can get something scheduled soon. I just wanna go somewhere we can freaking relax the entire time. DH and I have been together for nearly 15 years and the only vacations we've done together that didn't include family were our honeymoon and a road trip to Chattanooga/Atlanta to visit the aquariums. So you can imagine my annoyance that we don't do anything as a couple to connect. Ugh. Sorry, it's like everything is bumming me out these days!!!

@inthewoods23 hugs mama! I vote for taking a day or two for mental health now. I hope you are able to figure out a little trip for the 2 of you - so many nice places within short-ish driving distance to visit in the Midwest if you don't want to do anything super long. a friend shared with me a cute couples place in IN - i can send you the link if interested, we opted to book for a resort/spa place, i did not want an AirBNB because i wanted no reason that i could cook or do anything. I feel the BLAH mood because i'm there too. Maybe we can just blame it on the fact that it's still cold and gloomy and i'm just ready for spring!
@novaghost99 that totally makes sense! I'm not sure we'll have any nicer weather where we are going, but i just needed a way to get away and not have to do anything for a weekend. I think the motivation for me might be different having a 3yr old, so momming for so long in a pandemic, most of that time not having any family around, and also working in mental health 2 years into the pandemic now with no breaks.
@runnergirl2018 yes a resort/spa is what I'm looking for! I've been trying to find a couple places in WI too but haven't looked too much into it.
On the topic of babymoons, how long should we go for? Is a week way too long? Should it be more of a long weekend kind of thing? I think we'd want a solid 3-4 days especially if the point is to get to full on relaxation.

Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: Acorn Squash
Upcoming appointments: 4/14
How are you feeling?: Starting to feel really large and the belly is getting heavy. I said last night that I think I'm going to need one of those belly support bands this time around.
Rants/Raves: We decided not to sell our house and move. Instead we decided to make some investments/improvements in our own home and stay put for another 5 years. DH thinks we can have the house paid off by then, so we'd be in an even better position to sell/move at that point. There are a few projects that I would like to get done before baby comes, so I'm scrambling trying to hire/coordinate that work now.
GTKY: Do you have any plans for a spring break or baby moon? We went out a two night baby moon a few weeks ago to a spa/resort in our state. It was very relaxing... so I'm trying to convince DH that we need another one in May lol
Will come back later today or tomorrow for tags! Need to focus on work for a bit lol
@inthewoods23 “From the comfortable lawn surrounding the spring, under a gentle shade of Spanish moss, you can watch the spring boil up silently from the Florida Aquifer. Seventy-two million gallons a day erupt from the spring and spread out into a transparent underwater meadow teeming with both fresh and saltwater fish. The limestone pool, about 200 feet across, is the color of pale emeralds, accented by abstract swaths of water grass” - from the Silver Glen Spring website. Lol. There’s about 1000 or more natural cold water springs in Florida that pump water naturally from under ground (sadly a lot of spring bottled water is also taken from these springs) This is the spring with the clearest water in Florida and what I consider the most beautiful. I attached a pic from the last time we went.
also, I’m sorry about your family bullying you into telling them a name. Why are families like this? We ended up lying to my mother in law to get her to shut up and told her a fake name. 🤦♀️ She’s already told the whole family this fake name and I’m sure gone and gotten stuff monogrammed even though we told her not to because we werent 100% sure and we were feeling pressured to tell her, not because we wanted to tell her. I’m kinda excited to switch it up in the hospital and tell her we decided on something different last minute because that’s what she gets for being so entitled and pushy.
@oli9 oh this reminds me that there's some lake in Michigan that is connected to Lake Michigan that has SUPER clear water. We vacation up in northern WI where the lakes are BROWN so you can't even really see your legs when you're in the water. I'd love to go somewhere that has super clear water. It's mesmerizing.
And yeah, I made the mistake 2 weekends ago at my niece's birthday party to tell my sister his name starts with a C which caused EVERYBODY to start listing names. One person even pulled up a list of baby names . Someone did actually guess his name and my sister is convinced it's correct because my BIL and his BIL (so his sister's husband) both said I reacted differently when it was said. It hasn't ruined the name for me, but I feel like I can't go to family functions anymore if that's what I'm going to have to deal with every time. The only reason at this point I would confirm what his name is would be if we want to give people the option to personalize any baby shower gifts. My mom did say one of my aunts likes to personalize baby blankets so.... idk.

@inthewoods23 I think it’s so strange that family members/friends would want to pressure someone to give up information they don’t want to willingly give up. It’s obviously not for supportive reasons but for self satisfying or competitive reasons. I consider it to be borderline abusive and yes I don’t blame you for not wanting to attend functions after this happened because who looks forward to attending something that they are going to be harassed at?
@velvetblue88 If it helps at all, I'm still able to wear my normal two piece swimsuits in pregnancy. And that is not for lack of a big bump. If you don't want a two piece though, I'm sure you would need maternity.

Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: 1.5 pounds!
Upcoming appointments: sometime in april. I think it's my last monthly apt which makes me sad.
How are you feeling?: ok. I am carrying this baby super low, which I think is actually better? Lots of pelvic discomfort, but not having him in my ribs yet is awesome.
Rants/Raves: So my housing situation is in chaos. I guess my landlord actually decided to sell the property? I honestly have no idea. But my rent is going up by 30% and it is NOT worth that money to live here. After much hulabaloo with this current market, I think we're going to build a modular. It's everything we want. I wish it was a faster timeline, but nothing else is really a good option. Meeting with a mortgage company today to see what we can get approved for.
Questions:
GTKY: Do you have any plans for a spring break or baby moon? We don't have family, so it would be a family vacay. BUT now that we're nearly definitely building a home this year, we aren't doing anything extra ever again XD. I'm being dramatic, but definitely no vacation this spring anymore. I was planning one prior to my housing situation blowing up though.

@feather_heather good luck getting your home projects done! Seems near impossible to have anything done in just a few weeks/months now with supply issues and overall backlog. I spoke with a custom cabinet guy a month ago and he wanted to make sure I understood that the project wasn't going to even get started until fall because lead times are so bad these days. It depends on the type of project you're doing though.
@oli9 my sister told us the names she picked some time into her pregnancies so I'm doing things different here. Idk why it's such a big deal. I'm sure I'd get a different reaction if I said we had a list of 3 that we'll chose from when baby arrives. I've always been the black sheep of the family (totally different tastes in music and other various interests, that kind of thing). Sure I can be judgey AF about other people's choices because I can be very different from them but I'm not an idiot and know when to keep my mouth shut.

@inthewoods23 i'll PM you where we are going. we are doing 3 nights, knowing that we will leave early the first day and have to be home by early enough afternoon on Sunday to help get ready fo rhte week, but if we didn't already have a kid that might be more flexible. I think 4 days is good enough unless you want to go away for a week and have the ability to
@tuxielove93 so sorry to hear about the housing thing, i hope it all works out!
@feather_heather good luck with the house projects! it's so tough right now to get things and hire people so i'm keeping my fingers crossed for you. we are only doing things now that my hubby and FIL know how to do /handle
Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: a waffle iron? 🤔
Upcoming appointments: OB regular check up on 4/4 and growth scan on 4/5 🤞🏻
How are you feeling?: I’m feeling pretty good. Belly is getting heavy so started sleeping why my pregnancy pillow. DD has been extra lovey and cuddly lately which is nice.
Rants/Raves: Rave: We were super productive the past couple weeks getting our living spaces switched around so that we can clear out our office to turn it into to the nursery. We also had the house cleaned and the front yard mulched/weeded/trimmed, so everything looks fresh and clean which is like the best feeling.
Rant: Work is super crazy right now and there’s just not enough hours in the day! Trying to get H to help more because I just don’t have time to mom and work right now, it’s a bit overwhelming.
Questions:
GTKY: Do you have any plans for a spring break or baby moon? Hah, with what time? I have to save all my PTO for maternity leave ugh. I do have some fun things coming up, DD’s birthday party on 4/10, going to the ILs for Easter, my dad’s 60th the following weekend, maybe taking DD to Sesame Place in May, I want to take her to the zoo at some point too, and my mom and stepmom are planning a baby sprinkle in June. A lot to look forward too, but not necessarily relaxing. A spa vacation sounds heavenly right now.
Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: a cauliflower
Upcoming appointments: have a family practice appointment this afternoon as I have had so much itching lately. Have 26 wks appt and glucose test next week
How are you feeling?: In the past week or so, just feeling more pregnant, like belly is bigger a bit more uncomfortable and stiff if I stay in 1 position too long
Rants/Raves: DS2 has been rocking our 2nd try at potty training! Crazy what waiting a few months made.
Questions:
GTKY: Do you have any plans for a spring break or baby moon? We just got back from a spring break trip to the Gulf Coast a couple weeks ago. At some point this spring would love just a 1-2 night spa trip, but nothing planned yet
@runnergirl2018 glad you felt some relief after your OB appointment. Enjoy your spa time!
@velvetblue88 I have my eye on a swimsuit from pinkblush but haven't bought it yet. I've just done regular 2 pieces in past pregnancies but was also really pregnant in the winter and didn't have as much of a need
@courtneyqdk you'll have to keep us posted with what your Ob says, as cholestasis has been my worry too. But I have actual bumps/rash which apparently isn't common with that so I'm not sure what's going on
@tuxielove93 30% is bonkers! Hope your meetings go well.
@creativesoul63 I'm glad you are finding some fun things to do anyways! I have no paid time off of any kind, including maternity leave and STD but it's still worth it to me to take 2 days before I lose my mind
@creativesoul63 nice job with the productive cleaning! Hope I can get to that level of productivity next month. We've got lots of junk to clean out of our future nursery room. Lots of stuff that I have no idea where we're going to put it haha
@sjb2215 I've started laughing at myself for thinking baby was in the way when I was like 16 weeks . Nope, definitely more preggo now so he's REALLY in the way these days.

Upcoming appointments: 4/11 for MFM and 4/18 for OB
How are you feeling?: Anxious and sore but overall not bad. Just trying to figure out why kicking is
Rants/Raves: Rant- Dealt with spotting on and off 1st trimester and had a moment on Sunday night which resolved itself quickly. OB isn't overly concerned since this can just happen to some people throughout pregnancy but still anxiety producing for this FTM.
Rave-Just scheduled hospital tour and birthing Class...all seems so real!
Questions: Are dopplers worth investing in?
GTKY: Do you have any plans for a spring break or baby moon? My husband already had his Spring Break so we went to Charleston for our baby moon and it was amazing!!
This week has been a complete disaster. DS was sent home sick last friday and wasnt better until sunday, DH got sick Sun- Tues and i was thinking i might miss it but then Weds morning :-P
@velvetblue88 i needed a swimsuit last time around and i would say it was one of the hardest maternity items to buy. I would buy a few in different sizes and plan on returning all but the best. I was all over the place in size based on the cut... even just over my bump which makes no sense since that is the point of a maternity swimsuit!
@inthewoods23 yes to some PTO if you can! Think of what you will miss the most after the baby is here and do that. My best friend and i scheduled a girls day just to hang out all day. Last time i had a craft day all to myself.

Rants/Raves: I have to call my work daycare tonight at midnight to hold a spot. (its first come, first serve so i dont have to call at midnight BUT i want to be on the list!) I am grateful that they have the program but there has to be a better way.
Questions:
GTKY: Do you have any plans for a spring break or baby moon? Unfortunately no. We really dont have anyone to watch DS for any period of time longer than an evening. We did take a family trip to AZ though so that was nice and we have three camping weekends scheduled that i am really looking forward to in May and June. Also, with my thought on PTO above, maybe my DH and i should take a day? It would be better than nothing.

@knottieafcafd169ded5f01 I recommend changing your username. There's a thread pinned with the instructions. Helps us identify you better! As far as dopplers, at this point in pregnancy I wouldn't bother with getting one. Baby's kicks should be pretty apparent at this point and are a good indicator that baby is doing well. It would make more sense to get one for first tri and early second tri when you can't feel baby movement.
@cmhme hope you all are feeling better! What a rough week indeed!

How are you feeling?: Felt a little down last weekend. I realized I hadn’t seen any friends in awhile so this week I scheduled a few walks with friends for this weekend. So I’m looking forward to that. One is a friend I haven’t seen in years, and I found out on instagram she is pregnant and her due date is a day before mine!
Rants/Raves: Rant—
All of a sudden I’m feeling really pregnant! It’s like all the aches and pains hit me at once this week. Bump suddenly got big and heavy, my hips and lower back are sore, and I’m super tired just walking around at work. I guess the third trimester is approaching so I shouldn’t be too surprised!
Rave— baby is moving so much now and I love it. Also, I think we found a name we both love. We haven’t even discussed names in weeks and it’s hard to imagine any other name now! But who knows once we actually see her??
Questions: Really random question: I use a sound machine to fall asleep. It’s the sound of a river. Do you think that once the baby comes I’ll still be able to/want to use it? Are babies soothed by that, or bothered? I’m so used to it now and it’s hard to imagine not having it…
GTKY: Do you have any plans for a spring break or baby moon? We would like to do a baby moon, maybe to the Maine coast. However, I’ve been worrying about money lately so it feels unwise to spend money on a vacation instead of saving for baby expenses. So maybe we will do a day trip somewhere interesting here in Vermont.
@zinnia19 babies love white noise, the womb is actually quite noisy so having white noise on actually helps them sleep. I’ve always played the more staticky kind for my DD but I’m sure the river will work too. Plus anything that helps you to sleep and drown out baby sleeping noises (newborns can be loud sleepers!) is great too. I actually started using white noise after I became a mom because I am a much lighter sleeper now than I was before, so every little noise she would make even if it wasn’t crying would wake me up.
Echoing what velvet said. Babies can hear the hats going on outside the womb, so I’d imagine she’s already going to be used to the noise by the time she’s born and it would be comforting to her.

Re: Weekly Check-in 3/28
This was on my mind because we booked 3 nights away at a resort/spa. I really just want to relax, get a prenatal massage, eat some good food, and do whatever I want on a schedule that isn't my child's. We are just going somewhere within a short-ish drive, but i've never been there before so I'm excited
I really hate the assigning colors to biological sex thing, but i can see how a quick glance read differently
7/17 - counting down the weeks. Approx 15 weeks left if I’m induced a week early.
Seventh times a charm
Pink 🌷
A cantelope. I have a cantelope sitting on my counter waiting to be cut and I just can’t wrap my head around the (loose) fact that my baby is the size of a cantelope this week. My husbands reaction when I told him that (loose) fact was “no way. A cantelope is huge and round.”
I am pretty tired all the time.
My rant is that I hate being pregnant my rave is that I LOVE feeling my baby move inside of me. I set special time aside at night to lay on my back and just feel her move.
No questions!
We are planning a day trip to one of our favorite springs, Silver Glenn Spring coming up soon and that’ll be our ‘baby moon but with 3 kids in tow/spring break-ish trip”.
as far as a swim suit goes… good luck 🤣 with baby 1 I just did a 2 piece of my regular swim suit and that worked 🤷🏻♀️ I’m a different size now and didn’t have a good swimsuit last summer so I’m looking too.
@velvetblue88 Your retreat sounds like it will be nice and relaxing - enjoy!
@oli9 I love being pregnant too and love feeling the baby move. I try to savor every moment knowing this is our last.
Estimated Due Date/Weeks + Days: 7/19, 23w6d

On the topic of babymoons, how long should we go for? Is a week way too long? Should it be more of a long weekend kind of thing? I think we'd want a solid 3-4 days especially if the point is to get to full on relaxation.

also, I’m sorry about your family bullying you into telling them a name.
And yeah, I made the mistake 2 weekends ago at my niece's birthday party to tell my sister his name starts with a C which caused EVERYBODY to start listing names. One person even pulled up a list of baby names

@tuxielove93 30%???? Jesus!!! That's crazy.

@feather_heather good luck with the house projects! it's so tough right now to get things and hire people so i'm keeping my fingers crossed for you. we are only doing things now that my hubby and FIL know how to do /handle
Rant: Work is super crazy right now and there’s just not enough hours in the day! Trying to get H to help more because I just don’t have time to mom and work right now, it’s a bit overwhelming.
@sjb2215 I've started laughing at myself for thinking baby was in the way when I was like 16 weeks

Estimated Due Date/Weeks + Days: 7/7 (we are under 100 days now!)

Rant—
Rave— baby is moving so much now and I love it. Also, I think we found a name we both love. We haven’t even discussed names in weeks and it’s hard to imagine any other name now! But who knows once we actually see her??
We would like to do a baby moon, maybe to the Maine coast. However, I’ve been worrying about money lately so it feels unwise to spend money on a vacation instead of saving for baby expenses. So maybe we will do a day trip somewhere interesting here in Vermont.
