Re: PGAL Check-in 3/31

  • Due Date/Weeks: 9/14 (16+1)

    Upcoming Appointments: Today!  For 16 week check-in and cervical ultrasound.  4/14 for my next cervical ultrasound. We'll probably start talking about when to do the anatomy scan today.  I also have to have the "I want a VBAC" conversation today, since I'm meeting with a potential doula tomorrow (Kaiser is now allowing it, with prior clearance!!!).

    Doom Thoughts:  What if I'm not actually feeling flutters and the baby is dead?  Contemplating all the things that go wrong between now and reasonable viability (another 8 weeks).  Feeling like a fat cow.

    Hopeful Thoughts:  I'm pretty sure I'm feeling flutters.  So far my cervical measurements have been good.  I think they may let me try for a VBAC.

    Questions/Concerns: None ATM

    What is one thing you can do today to celebrate your pregnancy?  I dug this shirt out of my closet from my last pregnancy and am wearing it to my appointment:

    I find that talking about my pregnancy is such a small step towards celebrating it. I’m trying to allow myself to finally be happy that it’s my turn!!! And to talk about pregnancy the way that mommas who don’t know loss talk about it - full of hope.

    @kboydbowman I love the shirt !!!
  • Are we still doing PGAL check ins?
  • No, I stopped them because most of us were well past our icky anniversaries and people weren't really using the threads.  I asked and people said they didn't really need them any more.
