Babymoon plans?

I'm still feeling like crud in the first trimester, but I'm eyeing May for an potential getaway with my husband. I'm thinking beach vacation out of state. I just bought a maternity tankini!

Anyone else planning a Babymoon for 2nd trimester?

With our first we did a staycation spa day, which was really nice. This time we're not having a designated baby moon I don't think but we're going to a cottage for a few days with my in-laws in May and then to Halifax for my best friend's wedding in August, so we're looking forward to those (haven't traveled at all since our honeymoon in 2019!). I might see if DH can take a personal day for a date day just us sometime in second trimester though.

Our 10 year wedding anniversary is in July so DH and I are planning a trip for a few days down to Charleston while my parents watch the girls.

My 40th birthday is in June, and my husband had already made plans for a big birthday trip for me in May before we found out about baby #3, so I’ll be going to Italy and having all the pasta (but, sigh, not the wine)!

We are going to San Diego in June without the kids 🤩 for a little getaway. Definitely going to a Padre’s game but past that, I’ll take suggestions. We’ve never been!! So excited.

I would truly love to go to NYC while pregnant with this baby. This baby, whether boy or girl, is named after a 9/11 hero whose name is on the memorial at the towers. I’d love to go and just kind of soak the moment and history in and honor baby’s namesake. However I don’t think we will spare 2 trips without kids and uh…not taking my toddlers to NYC 🤣

We have some trips planned but no official babymoon. We’re going to Disney world in may! We had a trip planned for October so we moved it up once we found out I was pregnant. And then my in-laws have a condo at the beach so we are spending a week there in probably June or July. Then I would like to do a weekend away somewhere with DD when we get closer to October. But I don’t know if DH and I will do anything alone.

I am hoping to get in a lazy and relaxing beach vacation this summer if we can manage it financially. Somewhere not too far...but all of your trips sound amazing! They're making me want to jet set.

@shortstack930 we’re resort hopping! We’re arriving on a Saturday and staying at Port Orleans Riverside, then Sunday is a resort/Disney springs day and we’re moving to Boardwalk for 3 nights. Then we are staying at Grand Floridian for the last 2 nights! We did 2 resorts last time and it was so easy to change so I wanted to go for it again, although DH is skeptical about changing twice 😂. Where are you staying??

I’ve never done a babymoon before but we had scheduled a last second trip to Mexico right before I found out I was pregnant. We go in April and I am so pumped! Bummed, no lovely beverages for me but I will rock the virgin ones haha

Speaking of Mexico— obviously a question for my OB but how does everyone feel about travel to Mexico? I know Zika was a huge concern a few years ago. Our friends may potentially invite us to their timeshare in Cabo but idk if I should go or not?

@shortstack930 oh that’s so fun! I’ve never stayed there either! That was going to be part of this trip until I found a good deal on a DVC reservation for Grand Floridian. I can’t wait to pretend like I’m on Full House haha
