That GIF is going to be DD one of these days - I always catch her climbing on her little wooden rocking chair - although she's gotten better about sitting on her butt when I tell her to lol

I have this glider/rocker in DD's nursery and like it! I have it in cream and it still looks brand new (with the help of a little folex here and there)! I will say it is best suited for shorter people and probably would not work if you're really tall (due to the height of the back and the arm rests). I like having the extra storage space in the ottoman (I keep spare sheets, blankets, and sleep sacks in there).

@feather_heather I'm still not sure how I feel about that style of glider. Do you find that style is pretty comfortable for nursing compared to say this style? I've always found <that one to be a lot more cozy to sit in but maybe it's not the best when it comes to helping hold/support baby while they feed.

I guess if your positioning in the chair isn't ideal for nursing/feeding that's where a nursing pillow would come in handy?

I don't have any specific recs (we got ours on fb marketplace-- it looks a bit like feather's), but I would say this is one place I would dole out some money and/or time to get one you like and is really comfortable, especially if you plan on having more kids in the future. It's a big piece of furniture you have to look at all the time, you will spend a lot of time sitting in it, and small things will really bug you. I would spend money (or time! lots of these used floating around) on this before, say, a crib or a changing table or other baby decor things. I mean, a crib is a crib and you can paint it if it's ugly, and a changing table can just be a surface with a pad on top, but there isn't really a good substitute for a comfortable glider.

@inthewoods23 - I only nursed for 3 weeks (before I switched to pumping), but no matter where I was sitting I needed to use a nursing pillow anyways - so I'm not the best person to ask! lol

@inthewoods23 I have one similar to what your posted (we got it as a hand-me-down and put it in the family room instead of his nursery). It was fine to nurse in but I still needed a pillow (and speaking of pillows, I got the boppy and hated it. I just used a regular pillow every time). We ended up buy this one from BBB. They had it front and center at the store and we both fell in love. It felt like it was hugging us lol. We had also decided to spend a little extra on the chair since we got the rest of his furniture second hand. Plus we wanted to be able to keep using it after we move it out of the nursery. I love it so much that I think we’re going to buy a second matching one. I’m not ready to move DS’s out of his room yet. We still use it multiple times a day for reading in, or somewhere for me to sit while he plays, or helping him get dressed. Really I can’t see us moving it out of his room any time soon.

    edited March 2022
@inthewoods23 my MIL has one like that with slightly less cushion and I have to say i did not like it at ALL and long term for rocking a bigger baby or young toddler was not comfortable.

We have this one and love it.  I like the recliner part rather than a separate ottoman and it worked better for the space we used to have. the only thing i wish was different would be a power recliner so to have something a little more gradual and with more adjustment. so comfy, will use it for this next kiddo and then use in our bedroom or living room since overall goes with our decor style. i'ts more than we thought we would spend (although i did find it on sale) but we (especially me) sat in it sooooooooooo much that it's been worth it. if you can go sit in a ton of chairs and figure out what works for you
Edited to add - the chair above is now like twice as much as it was when i bought it but also looks like they have a power recliner option.  in general - holy furniture prices these days!
    Order ASAP everyone!
