Upcoming Appointments or Results: 28 week checkup on 3/30
How are you feeling?: finally starting to feel like myself again. Super bummed that this is probably going to be short lived with the third trimester right around the corner.
Rants/Raves: the baby’s crib is finally shipped and scheduled for delivery next week. Which is exciting because it was ordered in November lol.
Questions: does anyone know what other baby products are having extreme delays? I am stressed lol.
Upcoming Appointments or Results: MFM appt this week. I passed my glucose test from last week (woohoo). I was shocked because I failed the 1 hour test with both kids and had to do the 3 hour test. Glad I don't have to do it this time around!
How are you feeling?: Ok some days, very tired others. Sleeping has been uncomfortable, my hips hurt after a while. I had to sleep half-sitting 2 days last week but things have gotten a little better so I'm back to sleeping on my side for now.
Rants/Raves: Rant - last week was a lot, so I had no time or energy to even log on here to check in. My daughter had ear tubes put in last week, so thankfully she's doing well. Then over last weekend I had a scare where after a busy day I didn't feel the baby move for a while, had to call my OB, almost went to the hospital, had to chug a ton of cold water + juice and finally got him to move. Work was insane last week, so everything combined was a lot. Rave - happy I passed my glucose test. My parents took the kids overnight this weekend so DH and I went for a massage which I thoroughly enjoyed and then met with friends for dinner. It was lovely to just relax and not run home to take care of the kids.
Questions: Is anyone truly monitoring baby movements yet? After my freak-out, my OB said after about 28 weeks to monitor 10 movements an hour. I never did it much with the other kids, but I now had 2 of these incidents I don't know if I should really pay closer attention to it.
@marionberry19 that's so exciting your crib is arriving! I'm not ordering any new furniture, but hoping you get everything else you need in time!

How are you feeling?: I’ve been doing really well up until this weekend
Rants/Raves: Rave - Went to Boston for a long weekend to visit a friend. Sort of a last hurrah type trip. We stayed in a fancy hotel in a fancy part of the city and I bought stupidly expensive baby clothes that’ll fit for maybe a month. I feel guilty about the amount I spent on myself but when I booked the trip I was very much in need of an escape.
Rant - Travel and being out of routine was ROUGH. By midday Sunday I was exhausted and dehydrated to the point of not being able to eat and getting Braxton Hicks contractions. On top of it all, my afternoon flight got delayed late enough that I wasn’t going to make my connecting flight. I took the flight anyway because it meant an overnight where my sister lives, and my mom happened to be there this weekend. She was driving back today so I hitched a ride home with her since it’s more or less on the way to their final destination. But my bag is going to fly without me so hopefully it doesn’t get lost. I couldn’t see myself getting on another plane though. By the time I made it through the airport yesterday I was in tears (which is super embarrassing). Looking forward to being home and sleeping in my own bed!
Questions:
@marionberry19 That’s exciting the crib is finally shipping! I’ll have to check if mine has a delivery date yet. I also ordered in November. I’m not aware of anything other than large furniture that has long lead times, but given the recent outbreak and lockdown in China I fear we’re headed for some more supply chain turbulence. The only thing I’d do differently right now though is set aside a small stockpile of any bath products you feel strongly about. Even if the consumer supply doesn’t get disrupted, the raw materials might and companies may go with whatever they can find that causes the least difference in the end product.
@Tulips29 That sounds like a wonderful weekend (other than the panicking of course). Glad you got the chance to relax a little! I was under the impression that you start monitoring movements at 28 weeks because before then it could still maneuver into a position where you don’t feel as much. I don’t think this kid has been very active either and I’m trying to just focus on the one time at night around 10 o’clock where it’s most active as reassurance that things are ok.
@pinkkillersheep@Tulips29 I just read a post in a mom group I’m in about breast pumps having a major supply chain issue so now I need to see if my insurance will allow me to buy before baby arrives.
Upcoming Appointments or Results: appointment on friday to check on baby's bladder.
How are you feeling?: okay. just got back from vacation. It was so nice.
Rants/Raves: Came back to a mess at work. We had 4 people that do what I do. One left a month ago and now i just came back to the other one having put in her notice. She literally started 4 months ago so i'm a little stressed.
Questions:None
I haven't had a chance to catch up and to read all the chats from last week or today. I will slowly catch up but hope you guys are all doing well.
@marionberry19 Breast pumps?! Ugh. I feel like it’s always the most random stuff! So far furniture seems to be the only issue with what we’re buying, but for the first time I’m taking advantage of the Target spend $75 on diapers and wipes get a $15 gift card. I feel like I should stock up now while there are deals and before prices go up like with everything else.
@kfrob my day job is supply chain stuff so the next problem (along with all the other problems) is computer chips. So anything smart or that has a brain of some sort might be hard to get.
@Tulips29 I was wondering where you were last week. A massage sounds relaxing. I know one day when I was really busy, I didn't feel the baby. I read that when we move a lot, they fall asleep. I will be starting Nonstress tests soon.
I have been sleeping half sitting as well due to reflux. I start off on my left side but acid comes up. It doesn't when I sleep half sitting up.
@marionberry19 Thanks for mentioning about the breast pumps. I hadn't heard about that.
Est Due Date / Weeks + Days: June 9th 27 weeks 4 days
FTM/STM/TTM+: STM
Upcoming Appointments or Results: Glucose test and ultrasound next week.
How are you feeling?: nosebleeds sometimes. Acid reflux everyday. Sometimes it makes me throw up. I have trouble sleeping on my side because the acid comes up.
Rants/Raves: Was looking forward to having bean and cheese chalupas yesterday. Picked some up, came home to find a small bone in the carton. Not sure how that would get in there.
Questions: I have read on other boards about women eating dates and drinking raspberry leaf tea after a certain week. Has anyone tried that before? Not sure if they actually do anything.
@pinkkillersheep your weekend with a friend and shopping sounds nice! Sorry to hear your travels back weren't ideal, but hopefully the time away was a nice break.
@marionberry19 I'd never think there'd be a delay on pumps. I haven't even started my research to see if I'd want something different this time, yikes. Typically you can order it 30 days before due date, so hopefully it's possible to do it earlier this time if there's delays.
@romeoandjuliet146 sorry you have to sleep half sitting and that your acid reflux is so bad. I haven't heard about dates and raspberry leaf tea...curious what that's for.

Upcoming Appointments or Results: Had one today. Baby is measuring 4 weeks ahead and is 2.5 lbs already according to ultrasound. And no diabetes (yay) so it’s just chunky.
How are you feeling?: I can feel my bones move if I squish my legs together. Which I’m pretty sure I shouldn’t keep doing.
Rants/Raves: it’s not so much a rant as it is resignation to the fact that this baby is huge and getting bigger and all the symptoms are earlier which just means I have to put up with them longer.
Questions: anyone else in the baby measuring big club?
I feel like I’m never going to get a chance to properly check in and tag everyone this week!
@fluteling so far not in this pregnancy, but the last I was and ended up with polyhydramnios as well so I was huge and uncomfortable, I can commiserate with how uncomfortable it is. The doctor told me I was either going to have her early or have a big baby. I ended up being induced a week past my due date and she was 8lbs7oz, which seemed giant after the previous one being 7lbs2oz. Im getting the feeling this baby is going to be big too.
@KFrob sigh yep, I had the polyhydraminos last time too, but mine shot up in the last week of pregnancy which is apparently not great. And then my last dude was 8 lbs 5 oz and he measured normal all along! Who knows what this guy will turn out to be.
Upcoming Appointments or Results: have to go for glucose test sometime in the next week, then doctor on 4/1. My last monthly appointment. I can’t believe we’re hitting 3rd trimester.
How are you feeling?: pregnancy wise great! Sickness wise I’m on the mend. Still coughing but it’s much better, still have a sore side but that’s also much better. Now DD3 is home with the barfs so I’m hoping not to catch that.
Rants/Raves: Rant I took today and tomorrow off to get some projects around the house done and do some stuff for myself like get a massage. Instead I’m home with a 22 month old throwing up all over me. And DH left for his coaching road trip this morning and will be gone until Monday. I’m really hoping no one else catches this but I know that’s doubtful.
Upcoming Appointments or Results: US on 3/29 that I'm looking forward to in order to find out more about if my placenta has moved
How are you feeling?: Pretty good now that the back pain has subsided for the most part. Very tired, very scattered and unfocused work-wise and emotionally and that's not something I'm used to.
Rants/Raves: Rant - I think someone else mentioned this but my thigh bones seems to pop out of my hips sometimes when I roll over in bed, it's a scary feeling, I'm always thankful they seem to pop right back into place! Rave - I got a Squatty Potty and it makes going to the bathroom so much easier when I feel constipated. I don't want to get hemmrhoids and I'm so happy this invention exists lol!
Questions: Does anyone know how to tell what position the baby is in based on where they kick? Most of my kicks/punches are very low down and on the sides. I love the feeling so much but I wonder if she's still swimming in full circles or if she's sorta staying in one position...
@romeoandjuliet146 sorry about the acid reflux - I get it really bad too and it's been tough. Do you take pepcid? I take one 10mg in the AM and one with dinner and it helps me a lot.
@KFrob So sorry you're stuck with a sick kiddo when you were hoping for some alone time and a massage! I hope you avoid getting sick and find a time to treat yourself soon!
@fluteling during my ultrasound yesterday they told me baby is measuring at 65%. This is the first time I even got that sort of information, but the doctor said it's within normal range as well.
@KFrob I'm so sorry you're dealing with a sick kiddo. It's really not fair this stuff creeps up on your when you make all these plans to take time for yourself. Hope she's better soon!
@shoarmie99 I can never tell positions baby is in. Most of my kicks have been down low also (maybe due to anterior placenta) and then at ultrasounds I'm told the baby is laying sideways. Yesterday he was breech and I feel kicks both down low and on the sides up above the belly button. So I'd say baby is moving all over.

@shoarmie99 the best way I tell with the kicks is the strength. I get "kicks" down low and up high. The ones down low are soft more little pats or sudden movements that aren't super strong. But up high are super strong kicks and they feel like a larger body part than what i feel down low. The kicks up high literally will move my whole belly when strong enough but the movement down low which are his hands aren't really visible from the outside.
Upcoming Appointments or Results: Monthly in a couple of weeks. Fetal echo was totally normal last week and we got to see her in 3D for first time which was a lot of fun.
How are you feeling?: Pretty good still. Some random back and hip pains when I overdo it but nothing terrible.
Rants/Raves: Rant - I'm so overwhelmed. Like I need 40 hours in a day to get everything done at work, at home, and furiously nesting/having contractors working in our house for the last 3 weeks building out the upstairs nursery/playroom and putting in hardwood floors is really testing my patience. I'll be so glad when that's done! Rave - going to Mexico next week for vacation. Cannot wait.
Questions: is anyone else only having virtual shower(s)? I'm worried I'll be sad about it later... But know realistically there's no way to get all my friends with unvaccinated littles here safely since everyone is all across the country.
@ournextadventure she threw up for last time this morning and by this afternoon she was back to herself personality wise. Thanks for asking! Fingers crossed I sanitized enough to keep it contained.
